There are a few things you can try that will hopefully solve your problem:

• Try deleting potentially corrupt FC files within the game itself. 
• We also have an article with some connection troubleshooting steps that can help solve the problem.
• You can also try reinstalling the game. You'd be surprised how often this fixes issues you're having in-game.
