Forum Discussion
Thank you, I appreciate it. Hopefully the devs will see some of these ideas. I wasn't sure if I should just post each one individually so each idea can get voted on, but then I realized that'd mean (so far) 49 new individual threads lol, and they'd almost certainly just get buried since the forum is constantly getting new ones. Also not really sure if I should just edit new ones into the original top post, or if I should keep doing what I've been doing as new comments like this.
Anyway, here's some feedback I've written down over the last week while playing.
First off, a bug report:
- For some reason I am unable to skip the dialogue/intro cutscene at the start of every daily challenge, while my friend has apparently always been able to! I had no idea it was even possible until they mentioned that I never skip it and that makes them wait on me. I'm only able to do this during the outro part, though that only skips Vee's dialogue and I'm still forced to watch the cutscene play out. If I'm solo then I can completely skip the outro including cutscenes, but still not the intros at all. The only time I've ever been able to skip an intro is specifically during seasonal challenges?
And here's some new suggestions:
Edit: I've moved this comment's list to my OP instead.
Hey there, appreciate the effort that went into this list.
Firstly, I can't promise anything. (But we are reading.)
In general, as a rule of thumb, I would always suggest posting bugs into their own separate posts, so they don't get lost in a thread that may or may not be related.
In the future, grouping feedback together based off the area that they touch on would help for readability and focusing discussions.
Work around for your bug, if you enable subtitles, (Settings>Accessibility) it should allow you to skip those intro cutscenes of the rotating challenges.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you! Do you want me to edit and format all previous feedback into categories, or just future comments I make in this thread? I don't mind doing so if it helps, and I'm very glad to know the devs have seen my feedback!
Also regarding that bug, I actually do have subtitles enabled at the moment! But still can only skip/cut off the outro dialogue during dailies, not even the actual outro cutscene itself is skipped unless I'm solo.
Edit: Also any specific categories you'd like me to use for feedback? The ones I can think of atm would be Settings, UI, Controls, Audio, Graphics, Tricks, Missions, Map/World, and Multiplayer/Social. Not sure if that would be too many categories to section things off into.- OverclockdToastr21 days ago

This feedback is fine here, don't have to edit anything. Also those categories make sense to me.
For the bug, I just checked and it only give the skip option when subtitles are "On", where as Narrative only and Off seem to prevent skipping during rotating challenge intros. (Will make sure that detail gets added)

Thank you so much, setting it to "On" instead of "Narrative Only" did the trick and I'm now able to skip intros and outros entirely! Bless. tbh I'm not even entirely sure what "Narrative Only" was for, I never noticed any voicelines that weren't subtitled while using it.
Also I know you said I didn't need to, but I went ahead and overhauled the whole OP so it's nice and organized with categories to make it easier to read. Bit of a headache since the EA Forum doesn't like some formatting apparently and the errors it gave weren't very helpful. Apparently it doesn't like centered text, which I was going to use for each category's heading.
I also removed the bug reports from this list and I moved all of the previous additions I made in the comments to my OP, but from now on if I have any new feedback to add I'll still do it as a new comment in here rather than sneakily edit it into the OP, and I'll use the same categories for those comments as well.
Oh, and I wanted to share some positive feedback because I know the majority of people coming to the forums or skate.'s social media are usually doing so because they have issues or complaints, not because they want to say something nice and you guys probably don't hear enough of that. Please pass this along to the developers:
- Despite my long lists of complaints, I really love the game! I play it every single day. That's why I take so much time to fill out the surveys and type up all this feedback in this thread, because I genuinely want the game to be even better and be successful so it lives a long life.
- I like the stylized character models. I know the vocal crowd keeps shouting how they want realistic player models, but I really like how my character looks (or at least, before face complexions changed in S2) and I wouldn't want it to be changed.
I hope the dev team knows that the people who enjoy the game and like parts of it such as the character artstyles don't usually go out of their way to post threads or comment on social media about how they like it, while the people who don't are much more likely to do that and probably complain about "muh skate culture" even though they can't really describe what that even means. - I love Season 2! I said it earlier in this thread but I'll repeat myself: Season 2 was a huge upgrade to the game, and if all future seasons will include that many great additions and improvements then I'm very excited to see how much the game will have improved by the time it's out of early access.
I love the new additions to the map like all the new rooftop skate spots, and the redecorated areas like The Vault look great. The new skate.Pass is also a huge step up from the first pass, there are tons of new clothes I like (especially the two jackets) and I love all of those dance emotes (praying for a way to equip more than 4 now that I have so many that I want to use all the time). - The game feels good. Despite any issues I've mentioned, majority of the time it feels really good to play. I tried going back to all three of the old games the other day and was immediately missing a lot of stuff from the new game, especially how it feels just skate around and do tricks. Not sure why but skate. 1 and 2 felt much closer to the new one. I guess I just forgot how stiff and rough skate 3 was?
- I LOVE the parkour system! I occasionally see people on social media complain about it being in the game, but they're nuts. Parkour is such a great addition to the series that finally lets us go wherever we want to skate, and even on its own it's just fun and feels really good to climb around.
Anyone complaining about it is forgetting that players have always been doing janky parkour in skate 3 to reach unintentional new spots, and the excuse that "it's a skate. game, not a parkour game" is dumb when Hall of Meat is a huge fan favorite even though the mode had almost nothing to do with actual skating. Fun things are fun!
Thanks again for reading my thread! It means a lot that my feedback has actually been seen and read, even if not all of it will get implemented.
