Skate: Your Ideas to Revolutionize the Game and Energize the Community!

Hello to the whole team,
First, congratulations on such a great game! Here are some ideas that could further enhance the Skate experience.

Challenges

  • Add spectacular and original challenges: for example, jumping from a hot air balloon and landing on a giant ramp, or performing “leap of faith” jumps from unique locations.
  • Create a challenge where you jump from a moving airplane and land on a lake with something to bounce on, or on a huge ramp, to offer new sensations.
  • Make the challenges much more varied, especially for players who purchased the season pass—currently, they’re too similar, and many players are frustrated.

Character Customization

  • Allow players to add stickers to their clothing.
  • Enable caps to be worn backwards for greater expressiveness.
  • Introduce a workout feature: allow players to boost their strength or energy by eating, drinking, or training in lively community hubs (with food trucks and meeting spots).

Events

  • Run special Skate events during real-life competitions: add a temporary district with new visuals, mini-games, and unique rewards.
  • Organize musical events with live concerts broadcast on a BIG SCREEN inside the game, similar to what happens in Fortnite—this would be a real highlight for the community.
  • Develop a special area to tell the history of skateboarding, with unique challenges and cultural content.
  • Make seasons shorter and more dynamic: inject more rhythm and creativity by changing things up more often.
  • Introduce weather events (like storms) that can radically transform a neighborhood in real time, giving you the opportunity to completely revamp an area.
  • Host festivities like fireworks displays.
  • Improve the background graphics, like the mountains and general scenery.

Servers

  • Increase the number of visible players at once: the more people skating and riding around, the more lively and fun the city feels.

Player Economy

  • Create an exchange and resale system inspired by collectible card platforms like Sorare, with skater cards or items that can only be won in events (not just bought directly). This motivates player engagement and rewards participation.

Community Involvement

  • Why not regularly post on social media to collect player ideas, then organize a poll to select the top 10 suggestions? This would strengthen community ties and give everyone a sense of contribution.

PS: This message is a “message in a bottle”—I don’t really expect a reply, but I’d be happy to discuss more if you’re interested. You’ve got an amazing project: please listen to your community, and maybe take inspiration from the evolution of Battlefield. I’d be glad to share even more ideas if needed!😁

Hard disagree. There is already an overemphasis on whacky gimmicks in this game. We need less of that stuff, not more. This would be ‘nail in the coffin’ territory.

Again, hard pass on this idea. Many of us want fewer players, not more. (If not an outright offline/private mode.) Because while it’s fun to skate with friends, randoms often kill the mood. For example, there’ll often be people literally rolling around in the background or crashing the spot in a way that ruins the line I’m working on and the footage I’m trying to record. That’s not fun: it’s a major buzzkill.
