Rework Proposal: Sith Triumvirate — United by Hatred

This is a community rework proposal that preserves the current kits but layers on lore-faithful power to make the Sith Triumvirate feel as legendary as they were in KOTOR II.

The legendary Sith Triumvirate — Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion — return reworked to embody their full destructive power. Together, they are nearly unstoppable, growing stronger as their allies fall and feeding on betrayal, hunger, and pain.

🕷 Darth Traya — Mistress of Betrayal

Leader — Bonds Are Shackles (Omicron, Reworked):

  • Sith allies gain +60% Offense, +60% Max Health, +60% Crit Damage, and +20 Speed.
  • Whenever an ally is debuffed, they gain Bonus Protection equal to 20% of their Max Health for 2 turns.
  • Whenever an enemy attacks out of turn, they take 20% of their Max Health as True Damage (excludes GLs, raid bosses).
  • Omicron (GAC only): Sith allies also gain +15% Offense and Health Steal (stacking)at the start of each turn.
  • New Mechanic — Sever Bonds: Once per battle, Traya may target an enemy; that unit loses all faction-based synergies for the rest of battle.

Special — Isolate (Reworked):

  • Target enemy cannot gain buffs, attack out of turn, or be healed.
  • Reduces damage dealt by 30%.
  • Can be applied to a second enemy if cast again on a different target.

💀 Darth Nihilus — Lord of Hunger

Unique — Wound in the Force (Reworked):

  • Nihilus takes 90% reduced damage from basic attacks.
  • Whenever an enemy uses a Special or Ultimate: Nihilus gains +5% Turn Meter and +5% Max Health (stacking, no cap).

Special — Drain Force (Reworked):

  • Increase all enemies’ cooldowns by 1.
  • Enemies lose 10% Max Health (stacking) until end of battle.
  • Nihilus recovers Health equal to damage dealt.

Ultimate — Annihilate (Unchanged):

  • Instantly defeat one enemy (excludes GLs, raid bosses).
  • Cannot be evaded or resisted.
  • Nihilus gains +50% Turn Meter after use.

New Special — Consume Life (1 per battle):

  • Drain 50% current Health from all enemies (ignores Protection).
  • Nihilus recovers full Health and Protection.

⚔️ Darth Sion — Lord of Pain

Unique — Lord of Pain (Reworked):

  • Whenever Sion is critically hit, he gains +30% Defense and Offense (stacking).
  • Sion cannot be defeated while he has any debuff.
  • Sion taunts for 2 turns whenever another Sith ally falls below 100% Health.

Special — Shatter (Reworked):

  • Deal AoE damage and inflict Pain for 3 turns.
  • Enemies already with Pain instead gain Fear for 1 turn.

Unique — Held by Hatred (Reworked):

  • Activates automatically when Sion takes 3 turns or falls below 50% Health.
  • Revives at 100% Health and Protection.
  • Gains +200% Defense, +200% Offense, and Crit Immunity for 2 turns.

🧩 Triumvirate Unique — United by Hatred (NEW)

If Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion are all active at the start of battle:

  • Immune to instant defeat effects (Annihilate, Execute, Culling Blade, etc.).
  • Every 3 turns, one Triumvirate member automatically echoes an ability:
  • Traya auto-Isolate.
  • Nihilus auto-Drain Force.
  • Sion auto-Shatter.
  • When one Triumvirate member is defeated, the others gain: +50% Offense, +50% Health, +50% Speed.
  • If only one remains, they gain Damage Immunity for 2 turns and recover 100% Health & Protection on their next ability use.

✅ Impact

  • Lore-accurate: The Triumvirate now plays as they did in KOTOR II — inevitability, hunger, betrayal, and pain.
  • Meta-shifting: Can compete with top-tier squads and even threaten GLs like Jabba under proper play.
  • Synergy: Their bond strengthens as members fall, making them one of the most dangerous non-GL factions in the game.

  • There’s way too much stacked on here, not least of all the Offense. Sion being undefeatable while debuffed would lead to serious exploitation under a Revan lead (Ferocity is a debuff). And every 3 turns, he gets an auto-revive and +200% Defense? Madness!

Non-GL teams shouldn’t comfortably take out GLs unless under special circumstances like Datacrons or Omicrons.

This is just my personal rework/starting point of a rework for the Triumvirate based on how powerful they were from KOTOR 2. I also believe there are many characters that need and deserve a rework based upon the lore that surrounds them. GLs absolutely overpower most teams making characters worthless. If truly deserving characters aren’t constantly reworked and updated to keep up with these powerful galactic legends it will eventually destroy the game.

What will destroy the game is if non-GL teams consistently beat GL teams. They're meant to be the best teams in the game for a reason, and if the difference between GL and non-GL teams was marginal to non-existent, there'd be no reason to try to unlock the GLs in the first place.

I agree that GLs should remain the apex squads. They’re meant to be aspirational. My point isn’t that non-GLs should consistently crush GLs, but that truly iconic characters like the Triumvirate deserve to feel like raid-boss tier threats again. Right now, GLs are so far ahead that most non-GLs feel irrelevant, which hurts roster diversity and lore immersion. The healthiest state for the game is when GLs are still top-tier, but powerful non-GLs can pose situational threats — just like Iden, Troopers, or Nightsisters already do. That’s the balance I’d like to see.

Yes, but your rework suggestions would be UNbalanced, with massive ramping offense gains, near infinite revives, and way too much survivability

  • Sith trio (the real trio Traya, Savage, Nihilus) is a legendary team.  It's a good low GP team and it's good at the top of Kyber 1 too.  We all use it, it does not need a rework (for GAC anyway).  In TW they're on bug patrol and still extremely useful.  I think the team is in a really good place (especially with the Savage and Traya omicrons) plenty of targets on offence and on defence, you need something very serious.  I really wouldn't touch them.

Again, I’m not saying I’m not open to reworking my own suggestion for the team. I’m just saying, given the legendary status the trio has in the lore that they at least, bare minimum, need to be buffed a little and at most reworked this discussion is just to get the ball rolling on the idea hopefully. Also, I’d like to see some Jedi buffed and/or reworked to get them closer to what they deserve. These are definitely not set in stone and I’m shooting high, so maybe we can find a happy medium somewhere in the middle.

I’ll be honest I’m coming from a biased point of view because I feel like the trio should be revered. They’re some of the most powerful characters in all of Star Wars. But I also feel like Emperor Palpatine Darth Sidious and Darth Maul could use a little love too.

I will say that Nihilus' strength is way overrated, but that's besides the point
