Troubling signs ahead

Its clear the direction of capital games had taken a stormy corse since the whole era rollout. A system heavy with math calculations, constant babysitting, and changes they are unable to keep up with.

Considering bugs can often take many years to fix, i fear they may have developed this entire system in vain. Its clear they do not even know what is going on, in a system they have developed that clearly they cannot effectively maintain. Instead relying on make good rewards for their errors.

I am unsure what direction they will go now, with low revenue a direct result of idiotic changes that the people who actually play the gane said would end up EXACTLY where we are, And yet they refuse to actually listen to those play8ng the game! It is a clear indication that executives filled with pride in board meetings, can often be the death of their own creation by will of greed, trusting in their own judgement when its the players who often are most in tune with the GAME. Will they actually listen to any of us now? Or will the scrambling of trying to keep revenue somewhat afloat by more greed finally kill off the only things still remaining in the swgoh community. Guess well see! But i can see the game going dim, and life support being shut off in the near future.

Qui, you may be a well known troller, but surely you can see how much of a management and communication disaster this era has been.

  • dont know why you have all of the tags for this post

not trying to defend CG here but I think you're missing a key aspect which is that new players are coming to the game more than before so despite of what seems to be a decline this game will not be dead (yall have said that thing every single day so)

you said "it is clear" a lot but like what signs are there?

every game needs to have big changes in their life cycle (people will quickly lose interest if it's the same thing for months) and it's important to understand that every decisions will have its supporters and opponents. me personally despite all of the lack of communication, the Era system is a strict upgrade to the game with only a few downsides but that's to be expected in any system changes

  • I disagree that the era system is the problem.  It's the indirect pay-walling they've placed on all the characters with zetas and double to triple omicrons that don't match full-participation cadence.

I don't mind paying for a game.  I very much mind the convoluted way CG goes about getting you to pay.  And the thing is that if CG were a negotiator I could be like, "$100 for those 5 omicrons?"  But their business model is such that it literally just doesn't give you what you want.  This is the only company I tolerate this from in my life and it is because I enjoy Star Wars.  I think a lot of us are fed up with this business model.

And for those that say, "They need to keep the lights on.  They need to keep the whales happy."  Many electronic games are 10+ years old with more respectable business models.

  • This is a real troubling sign.  It’s the first and last sign of danger in the jungle
