It sounds like a crazy idea but its even crazier having a game that can't handle its animations without locking up. I'd gladly take a low fps or slimmed down animation option to remove this constant fear that the game is going to crash at any moment. Picture something like an old Final Fantasy game where its sort of like first frame, middle frame hitting the enemy, then last frame returning to your position. CG will obviously never do this but its nice to day dream on a work around for the bug fixes that will never come.
