Turn Off Animations

If the game literally cannot handle the amount of information being pumped through it then give us the option to turn off animation. The game with datacrons/debuffs/buffs is already heavily laggy with certain teams to the point where the game freezes up wasting valuable time in crucial matches that already take up almost the whole time limit. I know I'm probably asking for too much as CG wont even fix issues years old but.....

  • We have teams that become timeout teams just because their animations take forever.  CG did speed up the jabba team animations and even Sith Empire, but combined with datacrons, there seem to often be teams that will take 4 minutes of a battle to do animations.  An animation reduction might be in order.

    Especially since you aren't willing to spend the resources to improve the bugs and lag issues we are impacted by.

  • I have been playing for 10 years some battles I dont need to see the animations for especially at the cost of a crucial 10 to 30 seconds of animation that literally cant figure itself out and takes that long to "think if you will" and not completely break itself. Especially with some of the new teams that take longer than the allowed time to complete the battle. Any kind of bind up with a team on defense means a loss of the whole round in GAC if you lose an important team. These issues are worse with datacrons. So if it could be an option to free up some of the crap they arent going to fix ever or I cant see a really bad lightsaber slash pretty sure I will take it with animations off.

  • It sounds like a crazy idea but its even crazier having a game that can't handle its animations without locking up. I'd gladly take a low fps or slimmed down animation option to remove this constant fear that the game is going to crash at any moment. Picture something like an old Final Fantasy game where its sort of like first frame, middle frame hitting the enemy, then last frame returning to your position. CG will obviously never do this but its nice to day dream on a work around for the bug fixes that will never come.

  • Horrible idea. I get that you’re looking for performance optimisation, but the animations are pretty important if you’re trying to tell what exactly the enemy is doing to you.
