I guess ur referring to some can’t auto first try so they use time to do multiple attempts just don’t register until start time? Seems ridiculous thought it could be auto 1 try in 5 minuets. I c a few fall short but to each his own. And Lynn not sure if rewards will be better we got 40 stars LS DS will be more. They r active 2/3 zetas( most likely 2 depending on GP signed up tend to hit low end of zone which will be a lose). Saw a new guy start raid after 24 hr period like usually happens gets kicked lol. I didn’t look at account as far as how good they where but theoretically they could have been sith ready 5% each phase top contributor and where kicked lol. I just don’t think with auto Pit mindset as far into the game as they r they will ever be sith ready but I’m just about progress of my account y I log in so it doesn’t matter if they r till I reach a point where them not being would affect my arena rank."2smooth;c-1704584" wrote:

its so people at least have a chance to record a 0 score before it gets completed within 6 minutes.
before the wait time guilds launched the raids and asked members to wait 24 hours etc before damaging, but at times people never bothered to wait the time asked and hit a full solo meaning others never got any rewards.
now with the wait time it gives people 24 hours to at least hit a 0
not sure why they didnt just set auto join for all members and give them all 0 score from launch to make it better tbh
No not referring to the 24hr wait but a situation where after the wait raid unlocks to fight but they want to fight hr later. Why wouldn’t they just adjust start time so when it unlocks to fight after the 24 join period. Everyone could go not complaining about people going right after 24 join is done?
This way you make it possible to 'preload' your first battle, where you will then have all the time you want/need to restart if you like until you make a 'perfect run'. Then when you are allowed to start battling (or registering your results) everybody, who preloaded, simply finish their battles all at once to register their results."2smooth;c-1704584" wrote:

Our guild does an hour of no dmg posted for pit to allow those that are busy during the hour it goes live to preload a run. They just can't post until 10 min after it goes live if you preload.
It works ok. Every now and again someone forgets but not too often. And we don't boot for forgetting once. The guild leadership frequently explains in the chat for new people why we do it. For me, I just open it when dmg is allowed and hit auto so not much of an extra hassle.
So my advice is to ask leadership why they are doing this. Most likely it is to allow a few members to preload because rl gets in the way of joining in the 5 min needed to post a solo run.- ThorikB7 years agoRising Traveler

Yeah its so its not finished in 6 minutes / for those who cant solo with 1 team to give them a chance.
its pretty pointless tbh but some leaders / officers like to flex their muscles to prove what they say goes.
BTW if you want a different guild with less rules + better rewards let me know, no hassles all fun
Wait now, this isn't fair. I use a hold on posting damage, not to 'flex my muscles' but to make sure that my guild members get a chance to post some damage. It's what my guild wanted when I asked them for their input. - Da_Bauers7 years agoSeasoned AceI don't deny damage for an hour but I instruct anyone capable of solo'ing the Pit to not finish their run until they see "Phase 3 complete" in the chat notification at the bottom. After that, all bets are off. Sometimes takes 20 minutes, sometimes 45. Either way, lower level players still get a crack at at least one phase.
- It’s explained as we start at 7pm our time nothing else at this point don’t care if pit races keep u login it which for some it does got to do what u have to. But I’m guessing the pre load is because a auto won’t register sometimes or something if not done quickly? I notice within 5 minuets or so auto is over. And everyone is lvl 85 no low lvls just started in August so the difference is 3 yrs but always playing catch-up in shard or guild not much difference lol
- GladOS-0137 years agoHero (Retired)We used to have a 10 minute hold time after the raid opened, but lately we switched to auto-launching, and open FFA.

Yes, it's all fun and no rules until it's you that ends up on the short end. Then suddenly you will be in favor of rules that give everyone a fair shot at the loot.
The rules are there to benefit the whole guild, not to inflate the officers' egos.- GladOS-0137 years agoHero (Retired)

Same here @jkray622 - all 3 raids full FFA. Though, we still ask that no damage is posted until 10 mins have passed.
The autolaunch and join period have taken away one of the worst bits of being an officer.
We used to still do the 10 minute, but we kept having people accidentally post at 8 or 9 minutes, and then players who were "late" and just loading into the raid would get annoyed that the rules were broken, etc.
It's so much simpler now. Be online at raid time, or expect your zero to be your final score.
Now if I could just get some better tools to track TB and TW activity, 99% of my headache as an officer would go away. :) "BubbaFett;c-1707745" wrote:
oh so u have to start before damage is done to get it to count didn’t know
We have a 5 minute no damage rule.... The.purpose of it is to allow folks time to start their raid....
The majority of us solo, so it's nice to be able to not be glued to the clock and raid timer to make sure nobody goes in and posts small damage, thereby wrecking your solo....."LynnYoda;c-1704125" wrote:

Then you wouldn't need to come online to check for raids and stuff and you'd still be rewarded. I think that wouldn't be fair to daily players.
