Apptastic1 For future reference, none of this has anything to do with whether Macs can read files with the .exe extension, which they cannot. If that were the problem, the game wouldn't open at all. The executable is what runs the game; everything else is data that gets pulled as necessary. And the Mac version contains Unix executable files, which of course work fine in macOS.

The tools for converting .Sims3Pack files to .package were always Windows-only because the people that created them only made Windows versions. It was previously possible to use Mono to run the tools in macOS, but that was a number of operating systems ago and before macOS dropped 32-bit support.
