Sims 4 Island living / Life’s a beach

To be honest the island living pack is nice but not what I was hoping for out of such a pack. These are some changes I would love to see happen to the island living pack, as well as a whole new pack idea of the same theme.

ISLAND LIVING:

~ Mermaid Re-haul
More tail options / shapes / colors / customizability to paint your own tails like you can with fairy wings. (For both Mermaids and Sirens)

I would love to see a lot of work done for mermaids, but I think the coolest thing would be to split mermaids into 2 playable classes:

~Mermaid
Standard mermaid as we know it today, only the basic mermaid abilities they already have

~Siren
Has all the standard mermaid abilities + additional abilities in a separate UI like a witch or vampire where they can learn and train their siren spells and use them for water related mischief like:

~Enchant people with a siren song to bend them to your will, bringing up additional interactions after enchanting them like “make them clean your house”, or “make them prank your enemies” and an option for “make them forget” to end the enchantment and send them on their way. (Or times out after a certain amount of interactions)

~Summon wave to take people out to sea / summon a second wave on the same person to drown them

~Call a Kraken / shark friend the way mermaids can call a dolphin friend

~Craft potions to drain a persons needs instead of replenishing them like witches can

~ Siren song to steal life force from another sim, resetting your current age up meter and making them age up 1 whole day

~ Mermaid beds / Decorations
We got a little tease of what this pack could have been with the new “Meruroke Bassinet” and it just makes me want this same style of seashell bed in all sizes / life stages. I would love to see more actual mermaid style items and decorations, even if it has to be a whole new pack, I just want a whole ton of beachy / mermaidy CAS items and Build / Buy items

~ Scuba diving / Snorkeling
I would do anything for some underwater content like in past sims games. Even if I had to pay for a new pack for this I would 1000% because that’s a huge ask but I know so many of us would LOVE it, and could add more gameplay for regular sims but especially mermaids, and could even unlock new career paths / collectible items you can find while snorkeling to put in your home or sell

LIFE’S A BEACH:
(This is just my idea for the new pack name I don’t care what they call it) ~ (Also could include Scuba diving / Snorkeling in this whole new pack rather than updating island living)

~New pack
Speaking of a whole new pack, IF they did release a new pack full of beachy / mermaidy content, this is what I would like to see:

~ Seashell beds
At least one or two different kind of seashell / clamshell beds for each life stage

~ Oyster shell / Barnacle covered couch
For a mermaid to feel like she’s swimming in the sea from the comfort of her couch

~ Jellyfish lamps / ceiling lights
Nice cutesy lighting

~ Seashell string lights / Coral chandelier
Some more nice cutesy lighting

~ Stove top with coral shaped burners
The metal grates on the stove top could be made to look like they’re made of coral instead

~ Fridge covered in barnacles
A fridge recovered from the deep and given a second life

~ Polished slate rock countertops
Some nice kitchen counters that look like they were just pulled and polished from the sea, maybe with some remnants still attached like a starfish or some barnacles different remnants for each different shape / type of countertop to keep it from looking repetitive. Or maybe randomize it if possible

~ Tube coral toilet
A toilet made from a giant tube coral, maybe nustled into some sea rock to get the proper shape, with starfish and other corals attached

~ Seashell / Fish shaped mirrors
Some mirrors for the bedrooms / bathrooms in the shapes of shells or sea creatures like fish / dolphins / octopus / sharks or even mermaids

~ Boat shaped bookshelf
We’ve all seen these in real life, a mini boat shaped shelf or real boat repurposed to be used as a shelf for beachy decoration

~ Mesh / Fishnet curtains
I need some curtains that give similar vibes as the captains curtains but they look like you took a cast net and stapled it to your window (in different colors of course)

~ Bubble / Coral / Fish wall decals
Some wall stickers of bubbles and corals and swimming fish

~ General rope & fishnet decorations
Simple, some rope spool on the floor and some rope to hang on the wall, and some more tattered fishing nets to hang up as decorations

~ Starfish
We need some non-debug starfish that you can place on more than just the ground. I want real starfish that I can place on the walls and on some shelves

~ More variations of collectible seashells in different colors
I know there is already 13 different collectible seashells but half of them are the same thing just in two different colors and I want more!!! And if not more collectible seashells, then I need some more seashells and corals in build / buy please! I’m trying to make a mermaid paradise here!

~ More corals / barnacle rocks / seaweed
I love using the live edit debug corals in the island living pack, but it would be nice to have some things like that in the regular build / buy menu and not in debug, where they unfortunately disappear if you zoom too closely in on them. Some seaweed options would be nice to, to be able to decorate in the oceans of beach front properties

~ More CAS items
I’m picturing cutesy / whimsical / frilly dresses and mermaidy clothing. Here’s some ideas I had:

~ Cutesy mermaid beach wave hairstyles (wet and dry versions)

~ Short frilly dress with a seashell bra corset as the top of the dress

~ dresses with coral patterns / seashell patterns

~ Starfish bikini top in different colors

~ Pearl beaded bikini top

~ A rope fishnet sarong with small seashells dangling from it 

~ More long and short sarongs / pareos in some cute light colors & beachy patterns

~ Costume category two piece seashell bikini top with puffed sleeves and a sarong bottom to match, covered in shells / corals / starfish & maybe some florals (I would like to see multiple styles of something like this as a whole body outfit)

~ Starfish earrings

~ Multiple different seashell necklaces including a nautilus shell in multiple colors like standard color, silver and gold

~ Assorted seashell crown

~ Starfish hair accessories

~ Seashell / Fish scale high heels

And I was thinking for Siren style Mermaids, even if they don’t add that Mermaid variation, we could still have some Siren style clothing for Mermaids. Here’s some ideas I had:

~ Messy updo hairstyle with seaweed caught in hair

~ Messy wet / damp looking hairstyles

~ Long & short dresses made of tattered seaweed / tattered netting / torn sheet fabric

~ Long dark dress with a tattered slit up the side and a rope tied around the waist as a belt

~ Waterlogged shirts & shorts with barnacles all over them

~ Sleeveless top that looks like an eel wrapping around the torso

~ Spiky sea urchin half-shell bra bikini top in dark colors (Black & dark purple, etc)

~ Tattered fishnet tights with little pieces of seaweed / tiny starfish caught on them

~ More long and short tattered sarongs / pareos in some dark colors

~ A ripped fishnet Sarong with fish scales caught in it 

~ Seaweed shawl, one giant long piece of seaweed as a throw over shawl

~ Long & short fishnet gloves

~ Tentacle / seaweed & barnacle crown

~ Tentacle high heels
