Hybrid lots, hybrid occults, hybrid features (for similar based features remade, such as clubs/dynasties) and hybrid careers—are really needed!
Hybrid lots are needed just so they can do everything you want them to (Custom Venues are pretty interesting and helpful for multi-use but they automatically are treated like Getaways and you get moodlets/sentiments/etc.). I don't have it yet but I plan on getting B&H eventually, I think as long as you have the pack a lot can be at least 2 types of lots.
Let's face it PlantSims need to be a permanent life state and need an ability tree, Aliens need an ability tree, Mermaids need an ability tree, and hybrid occults should not break a Sim/the game! I 'd also like it if Spellcasters had a second form, and something to spend their extra points on.
Certain careers should have a Skill Career option (selling what you produce). So gardeners can either be leave home lot career, or stay on home lot and sell produce for the career. I love that Naturopaths can work from home, got to work or take in clients (more hybrid careers like this would be great). I'd also love it if Nobles could also have other careers (like the daily stipend and a career). It be fun to have a The Royal Naturopath, The Royal Gardener, etc.
Also, yes, universal colour swatches! I hate it that there are so many similar but not matching enough colours. I think I tried to do a black/dark grey home (with gold accents), it was like 3 different non-matching golds, greys and blacks, or no grey/black with gold accent selection (only dark grey/black with lighter grey accent).

Thank you so much for adding those points. I completely agree, especially about the Hybrid Occult systems.
It is frustrating that newer occults like Werewolves have such deep ability trees while Aliens and Mermaids feel so surface-level in comparison. Making PlantSims a permanent life state with their own progression would be a huge win for gameplay depth.
Your idea for Hybrid Careers is also spot on. The Naturopath career is a great blueprint for how other professions should work. Being able to choose between going to an active lot, working from home, or just selling your own produce as a registered professional would make the game feel much more realistic.
I also love the idea of combining the Noble stipend with specific careers. Having a Royal Gardener or a Royal Naturopath adds so much storytelling potential that we are currently missing.
And I feel your pain on the gold accents! I get to a point when I build , I just try to stay within the same build item family . Like this fridge goes with this specific stove . That just bothers me after awhile because building becomes monotonous.
