Wow. I have had the vampire pack and only recently decided to turn one of my sims into a vampire and try things out. Vlad shows up at my sim's door on occasion and once or twice I have gotten a wall notification with him saying something about my sim's neck, but he has never actually done anything. I know there is an option on doors to not allow vampires but I have never turned it on because I have never had any problems. And this is across many households in same game and many other saves as well. So either I am really lucky or I just don't know. However, I do have a suggestion that I think would make things easier for you and solve problems for your sim. Go on a computer and start with research vampires. Then access the vampire secrets option on the computer and buy book 1 and progress through all of the books until you can't learn anymore. Then you will be able to make a drink using a bar to cure vampirism and one to ward them off. It is only temp, but it isn't like you should have to use it often. Heck I think you can even give the cure to Vlad if you wanted. But as much as it aggravates you maybe it all wouldn't make you so upset if you just kept the ingredients for the cure handy in case you need it for your sim. Caleb and his sister will not even drink from sims without permission so they are harmless. Until I made my sim a vampire I honestly hadn't met any other vampires outside of those three, that I know of anyway. Anyhow, maybe you already knew this and just don't want to deal, but if you didn't, it should help so you don't have to make those garlic items and such.
