Holiday stuck on repeat

In my most recent save, something happened and now it’s repeating the last holiday (my creation - Gnome Patrick Fools) anytime there is a new holiday on the calendar. This started when I downloaded the new expansion pack. I tested it by creating a new holiday to start on an empty day and sure enough, Gnome Patrick Fools again.

I have tried ending it early, playing it all the way through, waiting for the year to come around again and deleting it entirely etc etc. Nothing has worked.

The specified holiday activities are also stuck on in the action menus - regardless of whether there is a holiday scheduled or not.

Holidays work as expected in a new test save but I don’t want to forsake my save!!

I do not use any mods.
