How to get a household back pls

I had a household in San Myshuno and when i applied to the uni my sim has moved to another household. Now i want to go back to my house in San Myshuno but my ex-household is not showing up and i can not move to the house i built. It says only unfurnished but i want to have my house back. What should i do someone please help me
