I agree with everyone here, Sims fans who have spent lots of money on this game are being disrespected with this update. We ought to be able to opt out of this because having so much of the screen covered makes the game downright unplayable. I will not be playing until I am notified of a fix for this because I cannot stand having that much of my screen covered. That is why I always delete holidays in my saves. Program in an x-out button, I'm playing with a corny little family right now, I don't wanna mess around with dark grim reaper stuff.

I don't want to participate in this event at all. But I cannot turn it off or hide it. Funny, for the first two days of the event I couldn't get the event to pop up for me at all, and now I can't get it to go away. Is there a mod or something that hides the event so I can play in peace without a constant on-screen reminder of an event that doesn't work properly and I don't want to participate in? It's in the way, immersion breaking, annoying, and it actively kills my desire to play The Sims 4 at all. I was going to play tonight but once I loaded into live mode and saw the popups I closed the game and decided to just not. I can't do eight weeks of this. Please release me.

I don't want the Grim Reaper Event in every single save I am playing for the next 50+ days. I only want it in the one save I use for the event. Please introduce an option to hide the event UI. This isn't make me play more Sims, this will make me play less Sims!
- Celtus4832 years agoRising Traveler@EA_Cade I don't want to do the event. How do I hide it or turn it off or whatever?
Seriously. My mom just died. I don't want a grim reaper shoved in my face.

I've added Me Too also. While I am enjoying the event, I would like to hide the reaper icon once I'm done for the week and have no more rewards to claim, and I also think there should be an option for those who don't want to do the event to be able to turn it off in the game options.
Thanks and regards,

I guess you do not want me play sims 4 for six weeks as not letting turn off Reapers Rewards Event as keep on forcing me, against will to keep on playing it in the sims 4 game - as I remember this in all my future decisions about how i keep on buying sims 4 by my new methodology - if you just ignore for six week as this is my only game product within your company.
