Items disappearing from houses

Hello, 

I am having the same issues. I have seen other post on other sites where stuff is missing from the homes/businesses being either built or with Sims living or visiting them whenever a player signs in and begins to play on a lot. 

While some stuff does end up in the sim's inventory, there are times it is a lot that is not being used by a Sim. It is a house or business we are in the midst of building. It is so frustrating to have to keep redoing houses or businesses over and over again because whenever you save there is a big glitch that the game does not save it all. It is not always the same rooms/objects either.

I sincerely hope this issues is able to be cleared up soon. 

PS. it is not items from one particular pack, kit, etc. and they are not CC as I don't use any. I made sure my game is up to date and so are my computer specs. 

*** Also, before I forget, another glitch I am having is... recently my game was notifying me that my notifications were getting maxed out and I needed to clear my notifications, but there were none in there. Thanks to this site, when I reported this glitch, I was told to delete the "notify.glob" and it worked. The game was no longer sending me messages. So, once again thank you for your help! 

BUT... now I see there are never any notices being saved, yet it shows I should have some in there. Something is very wrong here. It's no wonder why we can't delete them if there is none being saved to delete them.

    @wasikm007 I split your post to your own thread. It's easier that way and the OP of the other never came back. Your issue sounds different.

    You say you don't use cc, are you also not using any mods ?

    To me it sounds like nothing is actually saving and given your other problem with the messages, I wonder if your user folder is blocked from changes.

    What security software are you using ? Are you on PC or Mac ?

    Hello Crin, Thank you for helping me. 

    I don't use CC other than three Universal mods which thankfully is not an issue. I already tested that theory as well. 

    The three mods I use is to prevent pet and sim illnesses and another to help place our curtains on windows more freely. That's it.

    My game will save the majority of what I am creating.. it is just small bits and pieces that will sometimes disappear. It happens randomly. Not all the time... but often enough to be a nuisance. This does seem to happen more with objects placed with MoveObjects On. Yet, now that I think of it... it happens with doors and windows too that are properly placed without the cheat.

    As for the notifications... I don't know what is going on there. I just see where notifications are being saved, yet I look into the icon and nothing is there.

    I have the same security software for my PC that I've used since I began playing the Sims 4 about a year ago or so. The issue with items missing from lots just recently became an issue.

    @wasikm007 Do you have a new notify.glob file ?

    EA changed the exe file that runs now so there can be issues that have not been there before. If you're using a antivirus with ransomware protection, make sure to add the game as an exception.

    Does anything go in your household inventory ? There are issues that stuff gets deleted while you're building to so to be sure, do they disappear if you play on the lot or just while you are building ? Or do you come back to a lot after playing another and then stuff is gone ?

    @crinrict well, like I had mentioned in my previous post, I deleted the notify.glob file and it took care of the issue for the notifications of being full, which you had suggested to me to do in a previous post and the game added a new file in its place.

    I also know, once again, as mentioned before it is not my anti-virus protection. I know that one for a fact is not causing my issues as I've had the same antivirus for years and never had an issue with my sims 4 game running with it. This is a more recent issue for the past month or so.

    As mentioned in my previous writings here also, yes... some of my content will go into the household inventory if the sim owns the house, but when it is not being owned and is freshly being created or in the midst of still being created, the items disappear whenever I log into the game either later on that day or the next and those items do not reappear, causing me to have to play an entirely new game with the Sims 4 called "Find the Difference." Because the game will randomly just cause items from various parts of the home to just be gone. They are notably the shelving from Dream Home Decorator which I have read on other site blogs to be an ongoing issue/bug that has yet to be fixed. Other items are cupboards and counters in the kitchen, various clutter or miscellaneous items, doors and windows, trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. from the outdoors.

    What it all comes down to, is this should not be happening at all. Once we place items we work so hard to create and set up for our game to be there, they should stay put until we decide to take them out. I could see this being more of an issue if it were Custom Content, as they can become corrupt or broken with a new "fix" or more content coming in from EA. But these are all EA's content.

    @wasikm007 Yes, Just wanted to make sure if a new one was created.

    Things can change and what work before can not work afterwards. The game and your antivirus software are constantly updated. This is mainly about your notifications but you also said stuff was not saving but I think by reading what else you wrote, you probably just meant something else than me by that.

    Probably best if you check the bug forum if any of the reports there match what you are seeing as there seems to be with communication/language barrier. There's several for disappearing items. Add your me toos/voices there.

    Thank you, I do believe there is a language barrier but appreciate all you are willing to do to help us. 

    I am a slight computer geek when it comes to some things involving various software and its affects with other programs. I have ensured prior to coming here that was not the issue. When I read of others also having similar issues on other sites and forums outside of the EA HQ, there seems nothing was found to resolve it. That is why I came here to get help. 

    While I do realize there can be numerous other things that can result in various issues with our games and ensuring it is not an external factor causing these issues, It is frustrating having found other blogs or posts made without any note of resolve tells me this is more than just something on our end. Especially since the complaints about the shelving from Dream Home Decorator is still on going issue that was never resolved. Sometimes we do need to look to EA for these issues and question why we had to wait this long to get a team in to take care of these long awaited issues when we are willing to pour lots of money to support their games. This tells me this is something for the new team hired for EA to figure out what is causing these issues and fix them. 

    Anyways, thank you for your willingness to help, but sincerely hope someone is able to resolve this issue for us soon. What's the point in creating our houses or businesses if things will continue to go missing?
