Nature's Calling Event not working

When I open the screen to the main menu, the Nature's calling popup (I'm assuming) does not fully pop up--the screen goes gray and I can't x out of the popup unless I press the Esc button. When I load a household, the event will not pop up--the icon in the corner looks like the grim reaper from Grim's event (nothing pops up besides the same grayed out screen when I click it).

Possibly related, I can't see any menu on top left corner for holding classes, completing dates/other events, etc. The UI is missing. I have checked all my settings, repaired the game, and removed mods with no success. I am currently on a Mac.

At least you are getting a pop up. I have tried everything to trigger the event, no mods, repaired the game, played for over an hour, made sure I am online and logged in, started a new save file, and nothing. Not even the events tab on the home screen.
I am very frustrated with all these limited time events, as they are quite often bugged for me. The Death one I could only play half, the second half didn't work at all. but the time travelling one had no problems. Given that there are limited time items for the game that I would like to have in my game, I think it is really poor form of EA to not address that there are players having issues.
Unsurprisingly, all the advertising pop-ups are working just fine.
I am also playing on MAC, is this a Mac problem?

I am having the same issue but I'm playing on PS5... I keep searching for updates and there's nothing to do. Hopefully this gets fixed before the end of the event because I love gardening!

Hello!
I've tried to check a few more places and I wasn't seeing very many people have this problem if they did it seemed to be fixed in a few ways however it's not the case with myself.
I've been trying to do the event for a bit now and can't get it to load up. There is no event tab on my home page of sims 4, and the pop-up doesn't come up. I've repaired the game, started a new save gave, uninstalled and reinstalled my game (that took forever lol) and it's still not showing up anywhere.
If anyone has suggestions it would be helpful.
