@PugLove888 You're right, I don't like a chest. I prefer a cupboard that sims can interact with. I just found out I can't store Upgrade Part anywhere, even on the chest you mentioned.
I create a visualization of how the inventory feature be like.

1. There will be Inventory Name (not sure what this should be called), so we can give the object some labels. Maybe if we hover over the inventory, it will show the new name we give? Then there's no need to open the objects, we know what the objects contain even without looking it contents.
2. Sort By, so we can organize our inventory. Even my items aren't much, it's still messy right now.

3. Sort By Ascending & Descending button.

Is there a way to tag SimGuru? I don't think this will be very hard to implement, and this feature is necessary. Really hope it gets implemented, even I'm kinda pessimist about this ☹️

@AndyZhang2896, yes, quite a few of us have been wanting an inventory with different categories, for some time now! 🤞  I would also love the ability in an enhanced inventory to be able to sort either from descending or ascending! :ealight_bulk:  

I don't know about tagging a Sim Guru.  Many Sim Gurus are on Twitter, so if you are on Twitter too , that might be a good place to start, since I've seen people ask them things and sometimes they answer! 🤨🙂

@AndyZhang2896, sorry I forgot about having to be a certain level to post there... There is a good reason for that, though. Before they had that rule, people or bots would flood the pages in the forum.  It was a mess.  This has fixed that problem, but it is frustrating!  

To become a full member you need to reply to other people's posts, give them XP , and hope they give your replies XP. 😉 Sooner or later you will become a full member! 🥳

Thank you for the information about the boxes. I wasn't sure whether or not they could be used to store things or if they were decorative.

Unfortunately, the boxes don't help when my sim is at work trying to find something in the inventory to pull out & use or trying to see how many of something he has. The current sorting system doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to it. I have no idea how it sorts things-- it's not alphabetical or by type. It's not even by most recently acquired because sometimes stuff I just got will be in the middle. Its a jumbled mess.

I was hoping someone could mod a search feature or sorting thing.

What I'd love is a search function to search by name for an object. I'd also like to be able to sort things by name (descending or ascending) as well as by quantity, function, type, etc. So all items with focus aura would show up if I chose by emotional aura, or all metals would show up if I chose metals or all crystals, plants, etc... It would also be nice to have a way to stack all things of a certain type because I have multiple separate stacks of apples and such and I don't know why.

I agree. I don't know if EA will actually take the time to implement it though. I really hope they will.

It seems we've had the same problem with scrolling past something. I wish we could re-size and move the inventory box. My eyesight has been getting worse with age. I now need to use very large fonts & icons on my computer to find stuff & it's very difficult for me to see the little images in a sim's inventory. A mode for people with eyesight problems would be nice to make things larger.
