Sim inventory glitch??

I've noticed every time my sims put something in their inventory and travel between lots they disappear? I've lost teddies and drones so many times, is this a known glitch or does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

If you use mods/cc,try moving the whole mods folder to another place, delete the localthumbcache.package and then test to see if the issue remains without mods/cc there.
