Sims 4 Won’t Enter Live Mode – Returns to World Select Screen

Hey EA team and fellow Simmers,
I’ve been unable to play The Sims 4 for the past month or two due to a frustrating issue. I’m on PC, and while the game loads to the main menu just fine, it won’t let me enter Live Mode.
When I select an existing household, the game begins loading as if everything is normal—but then it bounces me right back to the world/household selection screen. I’ve tried creating a brand-new Sim, and although I can go through CAS and place them in a lot, the same thing happens: the game refuses to enter Live Mode.
I do use mods, but I’ve tested this with all mods removed and the issue still persists. I’ve also repaired the game through the EA app, but no change.
This has made the game completely unplayable, and I’d really appreciate any help or insight. Thanks in advance!
