Sims can't woohoo

Recently, I started a new legacy challenge save. It's been a while since I last played sims, but I do have all of the DLCs.
My sims used to be high school sweethearts and have been dating every since. They messed around a couple of times before aging up. Now, as they're young adults, they've moved in together. Yet, they can't woohoo nor try for a baby at all. Both options do show up, but every time i select one, my sims go through the initial animation -they talk to each other and get excited- and after that they freeze and glitch (similar to when sims get reseted) but they never get to do the actual woohoo.
I've tried removing and re-adding their relationship through script commands, verifying the game files, but so far nothing helped at all. Please note that i do not use any mods/CC. Based on my research, this bug has been around since the lovestruck DLC came out. I've seen some fellas talking about it, even some EA articles, but nothing helped.
