Teen sim not "registered" properly in high school

I’m having an issue with the High School Pack in The Sims 4. I have two teenage sims (one male, one female). I can choose to follow them ever other day. When I follow my male sim to school, I get the "High School Day" event but when I don't follow him i still get options to control his actions at school (like making friends, slacking off, studying harder, etc.).

However, with my female sim, I don't get the "High School Day" event, Neither do I get the option to somewhat control her actions when I am not following her.

Additionally, after school ends at 3 PM, I can’t make my female sim go home directly. I have to use the Manage Worlds option (and do this whole propaganda) to get her back to my household. And sometimes after school the day i think registered as a "day off" even when she did go to school (Not sure about this one but she has 3 days off instead of 5 when she attended every day)  I do get notifications for her (like "School for X starts in one hour"), but I don't get any results on exam day or how she did at school when she returns, unlike my male sim.

I previously used high school mods but removed them, but nothing has changed. Has anyone else had this issue? How can I fix it? ( I also repaired the game but nothing changed)
