forever friend event glitching

the event ends soon and ive had this problem since it started meaning i have nth from the event. i see 'earn a new trait' on the side in the home page and a play button but when i click it the screen glitches. like black parts, like the page appears for a minisecond and its gone. i dont see it in live mode either. at the top of the home page it only says 'home' and 'store, no event.

pls someone help me as im tried everything. repairing the game mulitple times, deleting and reinstalling, just reinstalling it itself, delete my mods folder (even if i dont have mods). 

FYI: i do not have mods or cc so thats def not the problem. alot of yt vids soltion is that but i cant delete something that is not there.
