Loading issues after the recent update

Hey hey,

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I noticed after the most recent update that my Sims families won't load. The gameplay was originally loading, but only to the world manager view. Once I clicked the family I wanted to play, it would load for a few minutes, but eventually go back to the world manager screen. I do play with mods, so I removed the folder and then tried to load in, but now I get the never-ending loading screen. Repairing in the EA has worked, so I just wanna see if anyone else is having this problem.

  • I’m having that current issues with and without mod, even after game repair. Like i don’t even know how to go about fixing it and I REALLY don’t want to delete all my mods to redownload them all again, some I don’t even remember where I went🙄 this is incredibly irritating.

  • Gilly0403 Lanni0313  Please remove the entire Mods folder (again), delete localthumbcache.package, and repair the game (EA App > Sism 4 > Manage > Repair or Steam > Sims 4 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files).

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.
