Re: Premade Brindleton Bay families are missing their pets after patch 1.78.58.1030

@AalyahReed Yes. Rename The Sims 4 to The Sims 4_Old for example and then start the game. It will then recreate a new folder. Start a new save this way and see if the issue persist

If it doesn't you can start copying your files over from your _old folder (saves with already missing pets will not auto-fix)

  • Quick question @crinrict :

When I rename the Sims 4 folder to The Sims_Old should I move the folder temporarily to the desktop, or should I leave it where it is?

    Thanks,

@AalyahReed Doesn't really matter. Whatever you feel safer with. You can just move The SIms 4 folder to the desktop without renaming it.. I find renaming helps with confusion but it's really just a matter of still having the old folder while forcing the game to create a new one. Either will achieve that.

  • Wait so I'm confused. Do I go to the files and rename the file to exactly to sims 4_old then start the game and start a new game??? I already tried starting a new game and it didn't work. Or are my supposed to create a new folder in the my folders or go into the game to create a new folder.
