Game updated but not giving updated content/game play

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Island Living, Seasons
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When my game is up to date I still do not get updated content EX; I still don't have ladders, hot tubs, platforms or sentiments. I think this is a rare bug.
What happens when the bug occurs? My game completely up to date, but I have never received updated content for example I do not have ladders, hot tubs, platforms or sentiments but my game is 100% up to date.
What do you expect to see? Patch content on my game upon updating. Every time.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Every time I update Sims 4 with any patch it never gives me updated content. I do not have sentiments, platforms, ladders or hottubs.

Thanks both. The reason I asked for the Config files was to check your game version number and also your specific Mac model. You're both running the Legacy Edition as confirmed by the 1620 in the patch number 1.68.154.1620. Your Macs are both 2011 models and cannot run the current version of the game. Legacy Edition, even though it appears to update, doesn't receive any updates which is why you do not have any new content and features in your game.

@Str8Readytobang Interesting issues wanted to get further information. When searching are the tubs grayed out/not selectable or are they not coming up? Which DLC do you have with the game?
