Problems on new device

I just bought a new MacBook for playing Sims 4. 
After installing the EA app and downloading all my expansion packs etc. None of my previous games were available so I had to start a new game. It all worked fine the first time I played it. 
That was last night. Then tonight I started it up to play and when I enter my game, I wasn’t able to place any items in build mode and then when trying to save the game it froze. So I tried to repair the game in the EA app and tried again but nothing worked. Now when loading the game it just shows the start up continuously and doesn’t get any further. 
Is there a glitch going on, am I the only one experiencing this?

    I understand. But have you tried a clean folder again since this has happened as per the instructions in my previous post? Please come back after you have done so and post a screenshot of the contents of the newly created Sims 4 folder in list view showing date modified.

    Yes I did tag Origin, simply because it asked me to use tags. 
    No as I said in the post I am using the EA app. 
    It should already be functioning as a clean game as it’s a new device and it hasn’t saved any of my previous games, plus I don’t have any mods or CC downloaded.
