Black bar glitching

Okay, I was told to make a report here I think im really confused, but every time I open my game, I get a black bar glitching at the bottom of the screen. I would like help and possibly something I haven't tried already. I repaired the game, renamed the sims 4 folder, made a new one, cleared the Ea cache, and  reinstalled everything any help would be great.

  • Pineapplechnks  What resolution are you using in Sims 4 itself?  It's listed with the other graphics options, near the top.  If you're not already, switch to 1920x1080 and restart the game.

If that doesn't help, or you're already using 1920x1080, switch to windowed mode, quit, reload, switch back to fullscreen, and quit and reload again.

Okay, I have to this in parts because it won't let me screenshot I have to take a picture with my phone and when I screenshot from my computer it takes away the problem and then puts it back but here. Also, I'm using fullscreen.

  • Pineapplechnks  Please post a screenshot of the issue.  And let me know whether this happens in windowed mode.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

Please also please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
