Can't get past a 3rd day

It seems like my game gets stuck on day 2 once I boot the game up. Everything is working fine until then, that's when I notice that my sims freeze doing a task. I can click the pause, play, fast-forward buttons but they end up not functioning. I can't select another sim in the household. I can bring up the game menu, but if I try to exit or save, it gets stuck on the loading screen. I then end up force closing it through task manager. Everything is up to date. I do use mods and CC. And I have all packs/expansions.

Honestly, not even sure if this is a crash.

    ShortBus333​  Please test a new save with your Mods folder removed, to see if that's the issue.  Don't use sims or a house from the Gallery—create a new sim (no need to spend much time in CAS, since this is just a test), and move them in to a default EA-made lot.

    If this works fine, you can start testing your mods and cc, or your favorite sims or Gallery builds, a little at a time, to see where the problem is.

    sorry it took forever, i updated the game recently and all the mods, and so far fingers crossed we're good to go.
