Game crashing

I updated my game but when I went into it my screen would just turn black and wouldnt load I could hear the music but nothing would load. I deleted all my tray/mod files and i currently have no mods installed because i thought that was the issue.I have also repaired my EA app uninstalled and reinstalled the sims 4.  I just tried going back into my game multiple times but when I do it loads to the home screen then it just leaves/ crashes out a notification shows up saying this - "The Sims 4: TS4_x64.exe- application error, The expectation breakpoint a breakpoint has been reached (0x80000003) occured in the application at the location 0x00000001401CD825." if anyone knows how to fix this please reach out!!

  • Deezthegreat  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • Deezthegreat  I apologize for the late reply.  I've been away from the forums for a while.

Anyway, the Sims 4 crashes look like they could be due to the game running out of memory.  Your computer technically has enough RAM for the game, but some of the 8 GB is set aside for the graphics chip, and it also looks like you have a lot of background tasks running.  So please try playing immediately after restarting your computer, with nothing else running aside from the EA App.

If you get another crash, restart your computer again and let me know how much RAM is in use, according to the Task Manager, before you've opened any other apps.  Please also post a screenshot of the Task Manager's Startup section.
