Game Ownership Disabled or Deleted
Hi all! I've been struggling with this issue for almost a week and I’ve already been in contact with EA Support multiple times. Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far, so I’m posting here in case a community manager can help escalate it.
The Problem:
When I try to install or launch The Sims 4 on PC, I get this pop-up message: “Game ownership disabled or deleted.”
The same EA account works perfectly fine on my Mac — the game and all DLCs run without any issues there, so my entitlements are valid. I have also provided EA support with reciepts to all packs. So, the issue only appears on Windows.
Steps I’ve already tried (multiple times):
- Repaired the EA App
- Fully uninstalled the EA App and Sims 4 using Revo Uninstaller (Advanced Mode)
- Deleted every EA- and Origin-related folder in:
- ProgramData
- AppData\Local
- AppData\Roaming
- Cleared all caches and logs
- Removed leftover “EA Games” and “The Sims 4” folders
- Created a brand new Windows admin account and installed everything from scratch there
- Tried both SSD and HDD installations
- Verified the correct Documents\Electronic Arts path (not OneDrive)
- Confirmed that all DLCs appear as “Owned” in the EA App
- Moved the EA App licence folder to Desktop from Program Data
After all of this, the message still appears when I try to install or play on PC. It seems the PC platform entitlement for The Sims 4 is corrupted or disabled on my account, since everything works fine on Mac?
Could someone please escalate this for a manual PC entitlement reset / reactivation? Any official help would be deeply appreciated — I’ve truly tried everything possible locally, and I really miss playing my game. I've been a loyal sims player for over 20 years, and have spent thousands on just The Sims 4 alone – so it feels a bit wonky not being able to access my game at all. Please help a girl out 😞
Thank you so much for your time and patience 💞 x
