Help, the Sims 4 won't work

Hello, I am a newcomer to the world of Sims4 and I'm very eager to play. However, as hard as I try I've only successfully managed to get the app to work for one day. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times and I haven't downloaded any mods or cc's. I have tried going through Steam and Epic Games (it now is forcing me to go through epic games because I linked the accounts) but still it doesn't work.

Everytime I open the game it lags on the introduction, I can hear all the music but the animation does not play out. It loads a little more everytime I swipe on and off the tab, but otherwise it gets frozen, I cannot move my mouse or play the game at all.

I have a windows surface laptop 3 with a windows 11 home and all the minimum requirements necessary (possibly except for the graphics card, I don't know how to check that). I don't understand why it's not working and how I can fix the game. I really want to play. I'll even buy an expansion pack if I can get it to work 🙏
