Incompatible With Steam?

Hi,

Yesterday I was trying to play sims and it wouldn't launch, and then I saw on EA the Sims 4 was greyed out and said "An incompatible version of this game is installed on your device. Uninstall the Steam version to launch."

So, I uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it from the EA app. But then it wouldn't recognize any of my DLC from Steam because Steam didn't even recognize that the game was installed already in the first place. So I installed it from Steam too, but then I had 2 different Sims 4 games on my computer, one that didn't recognize my Steam DLC, and one that didn't recognize my EA DLC. On EA, it says all of my DLC has been installed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game several times, restarted my computer several times, etc. Help?
