My sims are not using any of their items.

I have just updated the sims 4 and made a new household. everything was normal until about 20 minutes in when my sims would not use the toilet. They act like there is something in the way of them; and whenever i move them or delete items that may be confusing them - it does not work. I looked through my CC and mods folder and I dont think that is causing the issue. If so, im not sure how to fix it or where to find what Mod/ Custom content is causing the problem. 

After a while i moved the whole household to another lot to see if that would work, and it did for about 10 minutes. Now they wont use the toilet, the shower, the bed and other items as such. 

What should I do? I dont want to have to delete everything out my mods folder if thats the case. If someone knows how to narrow down the problem, please let me know.
