Never Ending Loading Screen, Crashes, and Lag

My Sims game has been unplayable for months now. Everytime I load the game I am stuck on the loading screen forever. If it loads, whenever I start my current save it either will crash or remain stuck in the loading screen. I started  new save and the lag in cas was unbearable. I have deleted all of my cc, I have no mods, I have repaired my game many times, I have deleted my caches, cleared up space on my laptop, restarted my computer and nothing has been working.

    Hi autumnkinloch

The problems I see in your DxDiag are usually either driver-related or caused by issues within the OS itself.

Another problem might be the specification of your Laptop itself, technically TS4 requires a 3.3 GHz 2 cores, 4 threads CPU (TS4 System requirements.) wile yours only has a frequency of 2.40 GHz.
Furthermore, these minimum system requirements apply to the base game. Every Pack, CC or Mod increases the game's hardware requirements slightly.

    Please update your Graphic driver.
Here is the driver page of your Laptop.
Expand the "Driver-Graphics (6)" column  and download and install the

    • Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver
    • 31.0.101.4502 Rev.A
    • 310.5 MB
    • Sep 6, 2023.

Restart your laptop after the installation.

    For the OS problem:

    1. Hit Windows key and X.
    2. Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” or "Windows Terminal (Administrator)", whichever option is offered.
    3. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: (You can copy and paste the following cursive text.) DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth
    4. Press ENTER.
    5. If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found repeat steps 1 & 2.
    6. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    7. Press ENTER.
    8. The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
    9. After it reaches 100% repeat steps 1 & 2.
    10. Inside PowerShell, CMD or Terminal enter: sfc /scannow
    11. Press ENTER.
    12. Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.
  • Hi autumnkinloch

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    • Press Windows-Key + R
    • Type: DxDiag
    • Click on Save all Information.
    • Attach the Text File to your post

    also for the endless loading:

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    - Delete the ones you have
    - Trigger the error again
    - Check if new ones are created
    - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
