laupowe Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see. Try again to load one of your saves, still with your Mods folder removed, and when it doesn't work, look for a new LE. If you find one, open it (Notepad is fine), copy its text, and paste it into a reply here.
If you don't get a new LE, try a new save, for comparison's sake. Try a different household in one of your main saves as well.
Clearing the cache files in the Sims 4 folder doesn't delete saves. Those are only stored inside the saves folder; there's no save-related data elsewhere (except when you have the game open). Clearing the EA App's cache is even more distant from your save data.
You can also make a backup of the saves folder, and in fact it's a good idea to have one just in case something else goes wrong. An external drive or USB would be preferable, but if you don't have one available, you can place the backup elsewhere on your computer, just not in Documents or on the desktop, as these locations can be synced and files therefore deleted.
