SDX Error

I haven’t been able to play online because I keep getting a Sims Delivery Error. Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is what I’ve tried so far:

I have onedrive turned off. I use Norton for an antivirus and have the game added to exceptions. I moved my mods folder out and deleted the localthumbcache.package, but it didn’t change anything. I repaired the game and cleared the cache too. I also ran the EA app as an administrator.

I’m not sure what to try next. I’d appreciate any advice!

    Hi puzzlezaddict

I appreciate the advice, but unfortunately it’s still not working. I only had the standard game in my exceptions so I added the others you mentioned. It unfortunately didn’t help. I deleted the content folder and left SDX downloads disabled as well like you suggested

  • McKenzieM98  Try disabling SDX downloads entirely, in the same way, and leaving them disabled.  Additionally, if you see a Content folder in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, delete it.

By the way, which executables did you add as exceptions?  TS4_x64 is the standard game, TS4_DX9_x64 is for the DirectX 9 version, TS4_x64_fpb is for Memory Boost, and TS4_Launcher_x64 is only in play when the game launches, so it shouldn't be an issue, but it's possible in theory.

It seems this might be an issue with SDX.
I saw these instructions in an older thread. Hope it helps 😊

    • Make sure your game is updated to the latest version.
    • If you're still seeing the issue with an updated game, try this:
    • On EA App or Origin, switch to Offline mode
    • Launch the game
    • Open the game settings and under the Sims Delivery tab -> uncheck "Automatically Download"
    • If an SDX delivery is listed as being in progress and broken, you may be able to cancel from that same tab
    • Exit the game
    • Switch EA App or Origin back to Online mode
    • Launch the game
    • Open the game settings and under the Sims Delivery tab -> check "Automatically Download"

    Hi!
I tried this and it’s still not working. It shows the same sims delivery error notification. Any other suggestions?
