Ever since the new updated on July 1st, I have not been able to drag trash or plates to cans or sinks. I have no idea if this is just a me thing or if it's happening to everybody else? As tagged I did take out my mods and cc and I still can't drag my plates or trash to sinks or cans.
It is not just you. I am experiencing this off and on as well. Along with telling sims to clean up and they start to but then just lay the stuff down somewhere instead of completing the mission. It was horrible when it started happening, then out of the blue it seems to have become better, then it comes back again. This has been going on intermittently, but pretty steadily, prior to the July 1st update, along with a bunch of other things that started happening around the same time. So for myself, I can't blame the update for this one.
I have no mods or cc so it is not that on my end.
I haven't had issues with not being able to drag stuff into the trash until the update, I've had issues with my sims not cleaning up properly before though.
I know when this started happening to me I did try dragging stuff to the trash and it wouldn't work. Couldn't delete or do anything. I did move the dishwasher to another cabinet and then back and that helped for that moment. But the sim isn't giving any routing thought bubbles or anything and the house I was using at the time has been used with many households, everything in same place and no issues. So while moving the dishwasher helped, I shouldn't have had to do it. Something whack is going on lol
I have NEVER had any issues with Sims cleaning up until the update. Now I cannot drag plates or trash into the can, not even my money making one's which has me kind of mad. I really hope they fix this soon.
Glad I google searched this as I am not able to either and wasn't sure if it was a new bug or not. Sounds like it is, which sucks when you have the money trash can as the sim is only getting 10 back instead of how many are actually in the household. How rude I have to get rich the old fashioned way... with actual work haha

I started a new save for the Nature’s Calling event and put down a tiny home someone else build since I’m awful at building lol I thought maybe it was an issue with bb.moveobjects or something and changed some stuff around. Nothing worked. I can’t drag anything to the sinks or trash can, but my sim can clean up dishes and wash her hands just fine. Really weird bug. I also use the electric trash can so this is a little inconvenient lol I haven’t checked if all my saves have this issue yet or if it’s an inconsistent bug
The same thing is going on in my game too😫
