I haven't had issues with not being able to drag stuff into the trash until the update, I've had issues with my sims not cleaning up properly before though.
I know when this started happening to me I did try dragging stuff to the trash and it wouldn't work. Couldn't delete or do anything. I did move the dishwasher to another cabinet and then back and that helped for that moment. But the sim isn't giving any routing thought bubbles or anything and the house I was using at the time has been used with many households, everything in same place and no issues. So while moving the dishwasher helped, I shouldn't have had to do it. Something whack is going on lol
I could try moving the trash can and sinks to see if that does anything but your absolutely right, I shouldn't have to move anything.
I just started a new save a couple of days ago and it started happening in it too. So I know it is not limited to a specific house.
