Load Error Code 800/801

You have to do exactly this. I did this earlier this year. I'd even stray away from bringing in old lots, and just rebuild them. Save your families and sims into gallery and rebuild the game. I'm not a tech person so excuse my explaining but I found out that it'll just keep happening eventually if you don't completely wipe the game from your computer. Literally uninstall it, and reinstall it again and manually place back in mods (if you use them) and start a new save file with the sims you uploaded to the gallery.. then cheat their relationships etc. It took me a few weeks because I lost a 6 year old legacy save file.. Was devastated. 

I still am staying away from creating rental lots which is a **bleep** shame because that was the one feature I was actually excited for in the sims. My games been okay so far, but I backup my save files onto external hard drives like once every two weeks or so because I'm a bit traumatized to say the least. 

I really hope they fix this. 

The Load Error Code 800/801 and the save corruption are somehow related. They are not the same, but they are related. 
I believe that since you are receiving the load error code Solarie found it best to transfer you here. 

I noticed that you transfered my message on the Load Error code 800/801 thread, and that's fine, but did you miss the second part of my message ? I don't always get that code, sometimes I notice the corruption because lots disappear or revert back to default

Yes some of the time (800). Others it just says unable to load particularly when pasting a rental lot into  a new game. 

Hi Redphun​ Is the error you're seeing Load Error 800/801? 

File upload.  This game file has errors when sims travel to certain lots with residential rental properties.  Most often there is an error that says unable to load.  It most recently happened when the sim was traveling to yhe Lighthouse Lookout Lot in Nordhaven.  It does not always happen.  In addition, several lots including this one could not be pasted into other games including a new game without stopping the game from functioning.  No mods ever used in this game.

I’ve already been into Sims 4 Studio to reset one Willow Creek lot but im not sure how long that’ll last…this bug is horrible and I really hope EA can fix it before they try to push out more packs because I unfortunately will not be buying if they keep this up

Unfortunately thats not much we can do on this situation :(

I already lost 3 full save files to the Load error aka save corruption and theres no way back. 
And it's always like this: you create your entire save file and starts playing with a family in another neighborhood/world to then realize after a week or so that Willow Creek is already gone - some times Newcrest or even Oasis Springs too. 

Some people are trying to fix their own save game by using the Sims 4 Studio and resetting the corrupted lots but the Load Error comes back eventually 😔

Unfortunately have been receiving both 800/801 codes when trying to load into two Willow Creek lots. Pique Earth and Movers & Shakers. I have quite a bit of rental units in my save, but that's why I bought For Rent.

It sucks that we can't play with the features of a game pack we purchased because they cause save breaking bugs. I am more than willing to send in saves with CC/Mods and without because as a lifelong Simmer I'm not trying to abandon the game I love and have invested thousands of dollars into. 

Things get to a point where it is almost disrespectful to release features such as 'pack disabling' and then announce another pack for people to preorder and buy, when these kind of bugs exist within the game and other packs. I put in years of work into my current save file and I refuse to let this bug or any destroy that. I think players are more than justified in wanting to boycott the next and any future pack releases until these issues are resolved.

One of my lots i Willow Creek is unusable now. I get error code 800.

Going to an old save is out of the question at this point. I have continued playing with other households since then. Hoping the game would fix the problem.

I play on Xbox, so I can’t use the regular codes/fixes.

Help!

The only (extreme) idea I got is to save all my sims and houses in the library and start a new game and place everything back. Note that I have all Expansion packs and created over 200 sims. It will take forever…
