my sim gave birth to twins, after I named them only the first baby was in the game. I tried looking in the house inventory and fixing the game but I didnt find anything. When I looked on the family tree there also was only one child. I dont have any mods and it isnt the first time I had this problem.PLEASEEE help this is extremly annoying

I JUST HAD THIS HAPPEN!!! I had twin boys. Both notifications popped up. Had them at the home lot, not the hospital. Then only one showed up. And he showed up in a bassinet I didn't put in the home. I play legacy and I was hoping for twins. I had the fertile trait and the On-Ley-Line Lot Trait. So I had better chances to get twins. Only one is showing up on the family tree. I'm on Generation H. And now, my game plan has to change or I have to quickly get pregnant again and only hope for one child this time. Like what??? Why? I've never had this happen.
I had a female YA with the fertile trait, and the On-Ley-Line Lot Trait. I had a baby shower, when the cannon went off, both colors blue and pink came out. I have never had that happen either. Anyway, when I gave birth at home with the Growing Together bassinet, I got a notification saying it's a boy. Named the first boy. Then another notification popped up. "ITS A BOY!" So I named the other and hit the checkmark button. Then the game glitched. Only one, the first named one, showed up. But he wasn't found in the home. I had to go to Manage Worlds, and re-enter the lot. Only then did the first named newborn show up. In a bassinet I never bought, and not where I put the bassinet either. I tried looking at the family tree. The second child doesn't exist. I looked into "Not In World" households thinking maybe he got misplaced. No where to be found. I don't use Mods, or Custom Content. I have updated the game for the new July update. I am on PC. I only have 4 other members in the household. I even kicked out some of my roommates hoping that was the issue. I play legacy, and I was hoping for twins. So now, I have to rewrite my story. Kind of annoying. I know it's a glitch, but mannnnn, kinda sucks. Not gonna lie.
