[PS/XB] Game preferences resetting

I am an Xbox player and every time I leave the game or restart it my game options that i save it to doesn’t save for example i set my game options to no music and invert camera and then I save it but then when I leave the game or restart it my game options don’t save 

You're welcome, it took me ages to figure it out too and it's sooo annoying!!

I can now no longer link my EA Account as of today. On Xbox Series X with all content installed. I already reported the issues with Tutorials and Tips, Sims Delivery, Other, Accessibility and Audio Settings also reported by other players. This is new and when I try to link my EA Account it automatically restarts the game and then immediately "Link EA Account"  is there again. So it can't be done.

This is a big problem unfortunately.

Edit: I found a tip for the lost EA Account Link on a different bug report regarding claiming event rewards. If I go through the User Agreement and Privacy Policy in Other, that resolves this particular problem. But just the EA Account Link issue and not the other settings.

Same issue here would love to see this fixed soon like the pregnancy bug was need an emergency patch!

Hi all, what does the "toggle control overlay" option in the other settings actually do/enable?? I can't see the difference with it turned on or off. It hasn't got anything to do with the control legend showing on screen as far as I can see either. 

Having the same issue on PS4.

Every time I start the game I need to accept policy, screen adjustment, info that Sims delivery is now "available", Emily pops up with tutorial, controller inlay is shown and the audio setting is not saving for next time! So annoying!

Also always get the hint that I now can place restaurants.

All as if i never played before.

I play on xbox series x console and I launched my xbox on offline mode/disconnected from the internet to avoid downloading and installing the 7/16/25 update and getting more glitches. When I got to the main menu of sims 4 while disconnected from the internet all of my game settings were not reset and are what I set them to last time I played and my performance is a lot better. My performance hasn't been this good in years. I guess maybe this bug is related to being online with online settings.

My game options are not saving and I have to change them every time I load my game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times cleared the saves and reset my Xbox 3 times but they are not saving. Please please help me 

I am having an on going issue (on xbox) that whenever I go to play I have to reset my game options, the control ledgend, my vertical camera control, and the tutorial. EVERY TIME. Also, when I am in CAS I go to choose an occult and the whole game freezes and won't let me hit "B" or anything. 

It’s been like this for a few months and I’ve noticed that a few other people on console were having the same issue recently. There were issues with pc players a few years ago and there’s a solution to that, but on console there isn’t. Every time I load into my game, regardless of saving or uninstalling and reinstalling, my settings never change and always revert back to default regardless of what I try to do. It’s become so annoying to the point where I’ve stopped playing all together.
