Bri423 I've merged your new post with your existing thread. Please keep to one thread while troubleshooting, at least as long as it's in the same general time frame.
Please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email addresss. (You can keep declining until you're asked some security questions instead.) You'll be able to launch the game without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user data won't be available. That's fine for the purposes of this test and can be addressed later.
If the game has the same issues in the new account, please try playing in that account still but in a clean boot. Here's how:
The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.
If you see the same issues in a clean boot, please try again, except with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

This affects ALL sims across ALL save files, including new ones, and regardless of the lot-type. Whenever I tell them to sit down, they'll stay still, and the "sitting" icon which is usually small and placed under the sims-action-queue is bigger as if it's a major action (such as talking or washing hands). Speaking of washing hands, my sims will also refuse to move for that! They'll simply stand still, and wash their hands right where they're standing (w/ the animation) except they're nowhere near the sink. The ONLY action that I could successfully make them do is walking; nothing else. (OBS. my sims were working perfectly fine before said update)
Things I've done in attempt to fix it that did not work:
- Disabling mods.
- Resetting sims-characters.
- Switching household.
- Switching lot.
- Switching save file.
- Making a new safe file.
- Restarting the game (multiple times).
- Restarting my computer.
- Deleting cache files & localthumbcache
- Disabling mentioned DLC in the sep. 19 2025 update.
- Verifying files in steam (no issues there)
Right now (after HOURS of testing) I've come to the conclusion that Get Together is the culprit. If I disable the pack, my game works fine again, but at soon as I enable it; broken again. This is also regardless of whether or not my mods are enabled.
This really sucks, because now I can't play with my save files, since they all use that pack; and so I had to make a new one without it. As of right now, I'm playing the game with both mods and Get Together disabled.
I haven't been able to find anyone else who has had this issue, so I'm not sure if others are affected as well, or if my game is just corrupted somehow. I have never in my 6+ years of playing sims had this issue before.

Disabling Get Together worked for me too, obviously would like to play with the pack.

puzzlezaddict I did that, sims froze again at 2 am sim time. I fast forward the time on the game and kept hitting restart object. Finally, one sim (the one I wasn't trying to reset) reset and worked again. My main sim however, still stuck. Only reset for me to give a task and it disappear and start glitching again. I went into CAS and got out hoping that would work. All it did when I got back into live mode was take away the bottom bar where you see your sims and needs etc. I couldn't click anything except the quit button. I stayed on for 10 minutes to see if it would come back, it in fact did not. :(

I also tested using the 50:50 method with packs.
The issue still occurs even with all packs turned off.In my case, Get Famous seems to be the cause of the freeze.
Interestingly, when I also have Enchanted by Nature installed, the base game issue is resolved. I've tested this with all my mods removed
Sims, upon being ordered to sleep, will immediately go into the 'Asleep' Mood, without walking to the bed/couch or anything. they just stay exactly where they were, now in the asleep mood????
Also, upon being asked to hug the new stuffed toy, child sims will stay exactly where they were before, and play the hug animation, which often results in them hugging the empty air in front of them.
I also recorded a video of my child sim having issues moving to hug the stuffed toy, and general issues regarding following given commands, however when I try to upload it it says the file is not supported, I would appreciate help with that.
I have the LE here

Here is the LE I get when opening my game
As you can see in the video, the first interaction the sims perform after being reset works fine, but any interactions following do not work at all.

</root>Bri423 Does this happen in a new save too? There's a current bug report for saves freezing at a certain sim-time of day:
Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves | EA Forums - 11885395
But it doesn't usually happen in all saves, at least not new saves with fresh sims on default EA lots. (Reusing content from the Gallery or your library can reintroduce a variety of issues.) So please test a new save, and also let me know whether you think the bug report applies to you.
If the bug report does match what you're seeing, the thread is labeled Needs Info, so EA is looking for saves, as you can see referenced here:
Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves | EA Forums - 11885395

Oh I am also so glad to hear it's not just me! I was blaming myself too.

When I try to get them to do anything, they just stand there. Ive tried resetting them, but they will not complete the task even after that. I cannot get them to greet anyone, they just dance with each other. It will not fill the fun meter either when that happens. I cannot get them to enter the house. They wont do anything. Tried on 2 different saves, reset the computer, and logged out of steam/EA and logged back in. nothing seems to work.
