Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

Ah, I thought this was part of the rubbish bug.. Because for the life of me I couldn't get them to throw the rubbish away or clean up! Just piles of rubbish everywhere. But yes, in fact, other actions like:
- Cooking
- Playing with child/toddler at dollhouse
- Reading
- Cleaning up (as mentioned)

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
• What happens if you do them commands ? Do they drop from queue ? Do the Sims freeze ?
• Have you tested multiple saves/Sims ?

Oh man this is driving me up the wall so much. Look, I only have the direct power on selected sim and let the rest have their autonomy. Before this was fine, I gave them a list of things to do and they would just do them. Like reading a book( skill) and other actions until I canceled them or they heard the call of nature or were interrupted by the sim I'm playing. This made it fun to have a large family and have them all still do 70% of what I wanted them to. But have some chance of them doing unexpected things too. 
Now it's totally useless, they will stop to do anything as soon as I switch sims. Even if they had a whole que full of stuff for them to do. I don't want to turn autonomy off completely because else they''ll just start peeing their pants again and do absolutely nothing unless directed. 
Normally I would direct them to cook, create a painting or whatever and they used to always finish the task before doing autonomous things again. Now they'll just drop the half prepared food on the floor and go talk to another sim on the other side of the property. 
The new B&H pack has made this a lot worse. 

Yes also this. Before going in and out of build mode didn't do anything for sims already signed up for an action. Now it cancels all actions for all sims. Which is super annoying. 

I have had this happen in a slightly different capacity...instead of the action queue dropping the action it seems it just "freezes" the game, which results in either the save system not allowing me to finish saving and prevents all interactions during the game (no pie menu after the freeze), I had to End Sims 4's Task with Task Manager to get it to close/restart. This first occured shortly after the Horse Ranch Expansion was released, and more recently happened today during the update for Fairies during gameplay.

The only time I have seen this and was ok with it was when my person stopped cooking to barf because of the new ailment from EBN they had contracted. 

Tbpf In the past a common cause of "Queue Hijacking" was the "Sim Autbnomy Settings"...maybe this is a relapse? I always have Sim Autonomy Disabled for My Selected Sim but can Someone else add their findings on this sequence of events who has Sim Autonomy set to Full and Enabled for the Player's Controlled Sim can confirm/deny?

Ugh, I know, my sims keep canceling bathing their kids, they keep canceling painting, they keep canceling everything I do. 

this happens so frequently, I don't even know if this counts as a bug. There are a lot of reasons why a sim cancel doing a thing. There a lot of reasons why they stopped. I can think of the reasons when it happened.
