[XB/PS] Can't rotate lot

This happens to me after playing for a while. It's like the controls from a previous UI/Menu is stuck, and the option to rotate the lot (and sections of walls/fences) has vanished. I think it's related to this bug report, where the controller legend for Custom Venues is persistent in BB mode on different saves.

Very recently after an update I also can't rotate stairs when copying existing stairs that are already placed in live mode. It has the same effect for me as when I try to rotate lots and pillars where it switches the tool type selection instead. I am currently only able to rotate stairs that I select from the stair menu in build mode which is a lot more tedious. I am on xbox series x console.

This problem still persists after how long? Only recently has this started happening to me, I was trying to rotate my lot and the arrows were gone and any time I pressed r1 or l1 like normal it would exit out of the tool. Upon looking up the problem I see now that people have been complaining about this for a long time yet the sims team has done nothing. So many problems have persisted on the console versions of this game and has made it practically unplayable. Can we get some clarity on when things like this can be expected to get fixed?

Also related to issues rotating things in build mode, I realized I am also having the exact same issue with trying to rotate pillars. It is only noticeable with the square shaped pillars, but it is also annoying because when building things sometimes the square shaped pillars will automatically rotate on their own into a different angled position than what I placed them as so I am forced to delete those pillars with the sledgehammer tool and then place a new one there from the pillar menu in build mode. I mention this incase its related to fixing the rotating lot issue.

I've got this bug too on Xbox Series X with all content installed it's been happening for about 3 weeks that I know of. I don't use the feature often but needed to rotate a lot to get a better gallery image as in it's current position I'm getting a gallery preview that doesn't show the house. When I rotate it, it switches tools instead and for some reason it adds the pink unit outlines which make no sense at all on a residential lot with no previous or current occupancy or ownership.

I left it for a few weeks to see if the next patch would fix it. I cleared my locally saved data and returned to my work in progress yesterday but the problem still occurs. I have also reported separately on the problem with rotating a roof or staircase (the same thing was happening and I was getting tools instead of rotation) but those are resolved for me now so I thought this might be working too, sadly not. I can move a lot or house but can't rotate. I tested on other lots too, same problem.

I'm on PS4 I have the same issue and I can't even rotate rooms
