RTG is completely broken on PS5 because of non-stop crashes
I started a Road to Glory as a MIKE linebacker when the game first came out. First season was fine then during the second season, my save file bricked and every time I would go into the next game, my game would crash at some point during, usually in the 1st quarter. I was so annoyed I took some time away from the game to wait for a fix. Nothing came of it so I decided to start a new RTG. I had the occasional crash for the first two seasons but I pushed through and then it happened again. Week 1 of the 2028 season and my save file is broken again. Always a crash during the 1st quarter. And if I sim through it, it will happen on next week's game. It bricks your save file. And how I know that is I can literally force a crash by opening the game, loading my RTG and then backing out to the main menu. It will crash every time, as seen in the attachment. I'm so lost. I love the game and had over 1000 hours on CFB 25 but what are we even doing here guys? This is literally unplayable. I've tried all the classic fixes like re-installing the game, rebuilding database and restoring licenses and nothing's changed. Apologies for the long post but man, I just want to be able to play this game. If anyone has any ideas/solutions, feel free to send them my way but it's obvious there's so many of us who have this problem.
CB RTG BROKEN!
First off - Please someone tell me how in the actual F. Am I suppose to get 4000 or even 8000 on this drill?! I can’t get to CB1 because of it. No multiplier either so I’m just stuck on CB1. Additionally….why am I playing 15 min quarters and don’t get targeted once. I get it, realism dictates 10+ picks a season isn’t realistic but to not even get targeted unless I play 20 yards off and 15 yards to the side is stupid. I am playing a MIKE LB RTG and after Michigan hired Steve Sarkisian, I randomly started being completely forced to play left end every play as a Pass coverage MIKE. I do not know why, but it is completely ruining my game experience. I am MLB No. 1 and have been for 15 plus weeks, why am I being forced to play the wrong position every game. I only get to play the correct position when my team gives me the option for the 3-3-5 formation, which happens about two or three times a game (out of like 50-60 plays). Every play with four down lineman, they make me play left end and rush. All of my picks so far have come in the 5% of plays where I actually get to play my position. Please fix this issue and stop deleting my forum posts! I am not harassing any devs or cursing, I would love to see this fixed so I can play my actual position. I played almost every down freshman year as a MIKE linebacker in my MIKE career mode. Then Michigan hired Steve Sarkisian to be Head Coach, and for some reason I have to play 95% of my snaps this year as a Left end. I do not know why. I am a pass coverage MIKE. I have very low power and finesse moves. It makes no sense for me to ever play there. I spend half of my games trying to find which plays other than 3-3-5 formation have me playing in the right position. 90-95% of the time, despite the fact that I have 18 plays unlocked each down, all of the play options have me playing left end. I don't know if it is a glitch and I have ended up at Rush Left end in the depth chart, but it is absurdly annoying. Really needs to be fixed. You guys fixed the coaching trust for defense and the game became way more fun, but now I am back to not wanting to play. I am forced to be in a four point stance on the line and I cannot even move off it until post-snap. This is really bad. I have been MIKE No. 1 since like week 6 of freshman year. I can barely get involved my sophomore year, but what do you know, all 4 of my picks so far have come in the 5-10% that I got to play my correct position, and wasn't instructed to rush every single play. Once again, I am a pass coverage MIKE! Please fix this. It is really ruining my game experience rn. At this point I am completely determined to transfer (despite wanting to play all 4 years at UMICH) because this is just absurd. And as far as I am concerned, there is a chance the exact same issue occurs unless I transfer to a school that exclusively plays 3-3-5. - Dear EA, I used no expletives in this message and I am not making any attacks at your devs. Please look into fixing this issue.I became the starting MLB and now my coach has me playing rush left end
This game is so bad for anyone trying to play defense. I am a Mike Linebacker, and towards the end of my freshman year, I finally made the push to become the starter. As I started my sophomore season, I began to realize that I would be forced to lineup as the Left Defensive End for 90-95% of total plays that I can choose from. I am a pass coverage linebacker!!!!!!!!!! What the **bleep**. I have 68 power moves. Why the **bleep** am I lined up there. I also have no choice in the matter at all, and of course, because this game is so fantastic (I am being ironic), You cannot even leave the defensive line pre-snap. I am forced to immediately get blocked by the RT on almost every play, or I have to do a wheel back around into the middle, leaving my team without a left end for every single play. This **bleep** is so **bleep**ing stupid. Please figure this out. I am getting really close to requesting a refund... How tf can you make a game that doesn't let you play as a Left End in RTG, but forces you to play as a Left End when you are a MIKE linebacker. Make it make sense.Ai coaching decisions
Ea tell me how I drove down the field to get my kicker in range to try in and win the game and with 40+ seconds left my coach decides to not run a play at all what did they do in those 40+ seconds it’s 4th down with 40+ seconds left why wasn’t a play ran why didn’t the kicker go onto the field and attempt a kick how do u not get a kick off with that much time on the clock are we serious I end up losing the game because of that I had a timeout too so it’s not like you can say I didn’t I have a one HOW DO YOU WASTE 40 seconds like imagine that happened in real life a teams qb leads the game winning drive puts the team in position for the kicker to win it 40 seconds left and the coach decides to not kick the ball or not run any play at all he gettin fired the next week because not only is that a terrible decision he might be under investigation for point shaving or betting on his team to loseCamera view in RTG for CBs
EA I am begging can yall please make the wide camera angle for RTG CBs wide enough so I can see my CB and the Wr I'm lined up with I'm literally getting cooked because I can't see anything the wr or my cb is doing when the ball is lined up on the strong side of the field and I'm on the weak side and vice versa please fix so I can enjoy my 6'4 cb will Pickett he's a legendRTG High School is beyond pathetic
I already raised concerns about how outdated and broken the High School system is in Road to Glory. But now that I’ve started a CB build, it’s gone from frustrating to downright absurd. I’m completely locking up my receiver — no catches, no yards, clamps. But the AI CB on the other side gets beat, gives up a touchdown… and my Game Tape score drops. How does that make sense? This is a position-focused career mode, right? So why am I being punished for AI failures on the opposite side of the field? I can’t control what the CPU does — yet the system acts like I’m the one getting cooked. And you know what’s funny? You take our money instantly at checkout, no delays, no bugs there. But when it comes to actually delivering a functioning product, we’re stuck writing into EA forums and waiting weeks for a fix — if the overpaid dev team ever gets around to it. And let’s be honest: no one cares that fullback redshirts were patched. That’s not the win you think it is. The core gameplay loop is still broken — especially in RTG, where performance is tied to completely unreliable AI decisions in high school games. Please escalate this. This isn’t just a balance issue — it’s a fundamental flaw in progression that makes the mode borderline unplayable for defensive players. Hi EA Team, I’d like to report a serious issue with running back AI in Road to Glory when playing as a quarterback. When I hand the ball off to the RB, the AI consistently picks terrible running lanes, completely ignores open gaps, and often runs straight into defenders or blockers. It feels like the RB has no awareness of the field, making it nearly impossible to trust the ground game. This makes calling run plays as a QB extremely frustrating, especially when the blocking is solid but the RB chooses the worst possible direction every time. Please consider improving the RB decision-making logic in RTG — it really hurts the overall experience when the run game becomes unusable due to poor AI. Earlier today, I closed out of the tab while advancing to the next week while playing Road to Glory with my quarterback. After that, it seems as if I can no longer play as the other Road to Glory players I’ve created. I can’t make a save file for any other players I try to create. Hi, I’m playing College Football 26 on PS5 in Road to Glory mode. Every time my QB crosses the line of scrimmage and gets tackled, the game crashes. This happens consistently and only during QB runs. Please fix this — it makes RTG unplayable.
RTG Conerback View and Gameplay are Horrific for some CERY SIMPLE REASONS!!!!!!!
Forget the patching and the grading, my two biggest complaints are: 1) The lack of a camera angle that allows you to see the whole field, "wide" is not wide enough, causing me to lose sight of any quick slants or drags, and then I'm stuck trying to catch up & 2) The strafe button, even when I break correctly on the ball causes a weird "Faked out" animation so I cant even play the ball or break on the ball correctly!!! I usually have a lot of patience but this feel like low hanging fruit and how did a dev or beta tester not see this!!!!! FIX IT NOW EA
Game Crashes Every Time I Play
I play on PS5 and every single time I play it crashes at least once. Sometimes multiple times. Worse than CFB 25. Just got screwed out of a record game. Also I can only complete like 40% of passes even with perfect accuracy and ball placement due to delayed animations. And Wear and Tear deteriorates a player way too quick. I lost 3/4 of my season W&T in one game with not even taking very many hits. This results in a full blue screen error code asking me to report it to PlayStation
