Why can’t we set depth charts!
There’s nothing more frustrating than having to pause the game at the beginning of each game and scramble to get your preferred subs in. Why don’t they let us save our depth charts for online. There’s no valid reason not to let us do this and I don’t see anyone else talking about this. I can’t be the only one that gets frustrated having to make subs every game. My opponent usually hits resume right away too so I normally am not able to make all my adjustments in 1 pause.Battlefieldjoker5 months agoSeasoned Newcomer451Views8likes9CommentsRoad to CFP – Major Bugs & Exploits That Need Fixing
Let me start by saying: LSU, Alabama, and Ohio State are completely broken in Road to the College Football Playoff. LSU can run "all go" routes repeatedly, and there's no effective way to stop it. Defenses just can’t keep up. Alabama's quarterback (and several others) can still run directly backwards on an every down basis to avoid a sack, zigzag all over the backfield to make the AI defenders take terrible angles to miss the sack and either throw the ball out of bounds or make a perfect across-the-body pass—even while under pressured. Ohio State has multiple glitch-style plays where someone is always open, no matter what coverage you're in. Players like Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams catch everything—even in double coverage. The passing game is so overpowered online that nearly every good opponent stats before the game starts shows 70–80% passing. If the game was balanced you wouldn't see this. It’s frustrating because NCAA 25 CFP used to feel balanced. You could run and pass effectively. Now, if you have a solid running game, your running back will almost always end up seriously injured before the game ends—meanwhile, receivers take huge hits across the middle and stay in with no issue. Other issues: Missed chip-shot field goals (even from the 5-yard line) are way too common, especially with stadium pulse disrupting kicks unfairly. Zone adjustments and pre-snap setups like QB contain, shading, or custom coverage aren't viable online—you simply don’t have the time before the snap. Pick opportunities on wide-open deep balls are missed constantly, but contested catches in tight double coverage happen far too often. Also the tight end and running back check down passes are always caught even if a defender is a few inches behind them. The AI defenders never jumps that pass, they sit behind the player and wait for the catch. Man coverage is still highly exploitable. Zig routes beat man every time, and since you can only control one player, you’re left helpless. I had high hopes after the beta, but honestly—they fumbled the bag. This feedback is specific to Road to CFP, but it’s clear the game is currently in a broken state online unless these core issues are addressed. Recommendation: Until updates are made, I suggest quitting out of any game against LSU, Bama, or Ohio State before the game starts so you don't have to deal with these issues. There’s no reason one player should be able to spam the same play over and over with no counter available.373Views5likes7CommentsPlease listen to your consumers.
First of all, I primarily only play Road to the College Football Playoff. I love the feeling of playing another human opponent head to head. That being said, I feel as though little attention was paid to how some new game mechanics would affect this mode. 1st, Stadium Pulse is way too overpowered. It is way to great of an advantage when playing another person for one person to not have the ability to change their play or hot route. Making it take more than one input I would understand, but not being able to change the play at all is ridiculous. This is the reason gimmick defenses like Mid-Blitz are so effective. 2nd, there are literally game changing wide open catches and interceptions that are dropped way too frequently. Low overall tight ends will make amazing catches in traffic while being hit by a linebacker, while my 90 plus rated WR or DB will drop a wide open pass. I know that drops are a part of the game, but it's brutal when it happens during online competitive play. Same with overthrows when there is no pressure. I should be rewarded for making the right read or defensive adjustments. 3rd, you all gave us a bunch of new tools such as d-line stunts, coverage shades, the ability to stim both offensive and defensive routes, etc... But, most of the time there is no time to input the adjustments. Also why is it a thing for me to get a penalty every time the playclock gets under 5 seconds!? Please address these problems in an upcoming patch. I was seriously thinking about getting Madden this year, but if College is in this state I expect the same from Madden.63Views4likes2CommentsH2H online
I went from a top 30 player and beating people consistently on cfb 25 to not even being able to score. How does a dude that knows how to beat every zone in the game lose consistently. I’m sorry I’m too prideful and competitive to run metas and play with the best teams I rely on logical schemes and real life principles/manipulation of zones to beat opponents but because of stadium pulse and just broken defensive logic my style doesn’t make sense in a game like this. This is the worst competitive game ever. And I’m hurt cause I really played 90$ just to play 3 days early and to stop playing 2 weeks into the release LOL 😂😂. Who thought stadium pulse was a good idea like I just need to talk to dude and pick his brain 😂😂 as long as stadium pulse around I’ll stick to my roots in madden you can’t mess that upGOxAT5 months agoRising Rookie347Views4likes15CommentsRoad to CFP needs 4 min quarters, different start times, and WEATHER!!!
1. 3 minute quarters makes it too easy to sit on the ball for an entire half. Forcing you to almost HAVE to go no huddle if/when you get the ball back. 4 minute quarters, one extra minute isn't gonna hurt. 2. We NEED different start times. 12 o'clock high is cool. But some of the best college football venues are at night. Give us that option. 3. Lastly...weather. It's a signature part of the sport. Snow, rain, overcast, etc...makes these home venues special. I don't understand leaving this out of the online H2H experience. It's bad enough we're not allowed to take our depth chart changes into the online H2H mode. Leaving all this out makes the experience feel kind...bland. There's a loyal football gaming following that exclusively plays online H2H. Give us something to chew on. All in all, solid game. Just a few tweaks. Oh and why can we not see the blocking assignments on run plays? That's just...weird. Feel the same way about Madden as well. But I digress.Seasoned_Vet175 months agoSeasoned Veteran177Views4likes4CommentsPlease remove stadium pulse from Road to the CFP
Stadium Pulse needs to be removed from Road to CFP ASAP. With people being able to choose any team, stadium pulse is being abused to give people a way to make games unfair and arcade-like. I thought it was a way to make games more realistic, but it doesn’t. Real kickers don’t miss 18-yard field goals on the road because of noise. It happened to me although the kick meter displayed perfect accuracy. Also, people with offenses that are based around pre-snap reads (eg. Veer and Shoot) are completely screwed when playing on the road. Please remove it so that online games are about who’s better, not who picked the loudest stadium.JJdaSnake5 months agoSeasoned Newcomer267Views4likes5CommentsTitle update…Road to CFP not mentioned! This is bad!
Only thing we received since launch was shorter intros…I grind this mode 24/7 and it gets stale! Stadium pulse is a glitch in itself. Lower teams play horribly…idk if EA want us to jump to CUT to spend money just to change uniforms, playbooks, depth charts etc but this is ridiculous. Def. Can this bug get be corrected. This season I have 4 losses that appeared after matching and instantaneously being kicked back to the home screen. There are more examples but this is a general one everyone saw what happen on the field. Please adjust the ratings for the all teams we are in week #4 and paper ratings need to be adjusted to match on the fiedl Madden does it if I'm not mistaken so why it hasn't happened yet for NCAA? Literally all day the game has been desyncing (I know that’s not a word) all day on college football road to the playoff mode. Every time the game starts I get ready to kick off the ball it does it. In College Football 25, online head-to-head matches Road To College Football Playoffs did not have the Stadium Pulse feature, and gameplay felt much fairer and more balanced. Without this mechanic, both players competed on a truly level playing field where skill and strategy determined the outcome rather than artificial pressure effects or distractions. The competitive integrity of online matches was much stronger, making the experience more enjoyable and rewarding. Adding Stadium Pulse to online H2H matches in College Football 26 creates an unfair advantage that disrupts this balance. It’s similar to giving one player a better car in a racing game or better weapons in a shooter. For the sake of fair and competitive online play, I strongly urge you to remove or disable Stadium Pulse in head-to-head matches, just as it was in CFB 25. This change would improve player satisfaction and keep the focus on skill-based competition. Giving one side a clear advantage is silly. That’s why CFB 25 did not have it for online H2H competitive matches. This feature does not belong in Road to College Football Playoffs since that’s a competitive online H2H match and should be a skill-based match, not an artificial tilt towards one side. Stadium Pulse is fine for FG attempts only. Here’s a Reddit discussion mentioning the same thing. https://www.reddit.com/r/NCAAFBseries/comments/1lw3m9h/am_i_the_only_one_that_hates_stadium_pulse_in/223Views2likes3Comments- Patric_2525 months agoNew Novice78Views2likes2Comments

I made it to the Heisman division, and I think people are forcing themselves wins with glitches. DAE have the issue where almost every single game, you get DeSynced at the opening kickoff? Or just straight up disconnected and end up receiving a loss? I’ve also played 2 guys who take the lead on me playing as LSU, and then disconnect from the game. For some reason, this counts as a loss for me. WTF.JJdaSnake3 months agoSeasoned Newcomer64Views1like1CommentEA Please Give an option to forfeit a season in Road to CFP
When it's clear, I am overmatched and been prematurely promoted to a class me and my team cannot compete on, I should not have to suffer through grinding through 6,7,8 games just to being demoted. I knew before the season started that my skill level was not up to the division I was promoted to. There is no way I'm m good enough to be playing on all american, but here I am, suffering on this level. I know i'm not good enough to play on that level , but yet , and still i'm forced to grind through twelve games before I can escape the madness of playing at this level. We should be given an option to abandon and forfeit the rest of the season. We credit with the losses. There is zero incentive for grinding on a level that you're just not good enough to play on.xMase412x3 months agoRising Scout38Views1like0CommentsUniforms & night games

I'll start by saying, I’m ranked in the 600s. Not saying that’s anything crazy, but it does mean I’ve spent a good amount of time with the game, especially grinding in the Heisman bracket. So based on all the hours I’ve put in, here’s my opinion of the game and what I’ve seen and experienced so far. Honestly, the update didn’t change much in CFP mode, aside from nerfing the PSU Wildcat play. Quarterbacks like Sellers can still run 20 yards backwards, zig-zag out of sacks, and somehow spin around to throw across their body to a wide-open receiver. Deep passes are still being exploited, especially with top-tier players like Smith, Williams, Anderson. And let’s be real—LSU is ridiculously overpowered right now. Even if you’re a solid player, the combination of their roster and cheesy plays makes it way too easy for anyone using them. Players are still throwing deep, switching to their receiver mid-play, and bumping defenders out of the way without drawing offensive pass interference. It’s wild. There are still a few cheese plays in the Texas and LSU playbooks that haven’t been addressed. For example, LSU’s 5 Wide All Go is still breaking coverage—even if you stop it a few times, eventually it’ll burn you. I don’t know if it’s LSU’s speed or just the play design, but defensive formations just can’t keep up. LSU can also walk up the field and kill stadium pulse just by running RPO Alert Bubble. Receivers like Smith, Williams, Anderson consistently beat press coverage, even against high-rated corners with strong press abilities. The game has basically turned into a pass-only experience. You can’t run the ball like you could in NCAA 25. Just look at the stats—most players are passing 65–80% of the time and running only 20–35%. If you check the top 100 players, their average rushing yards per game are super low. It’s clear passing is way too overpowered. If I run the ball 15 times in a game, my running back is dark orange. Meanwhile, I’ve seen receivers get targeted 10+ times over the middle, take huge hits, and still have high speed and catching ratings. And don’t get me started on dropped interceptions—there are way too many. I’ll have 8–10 passes thrown directly at my defenders and only come away with two picks. The only time I seem to get consistent interceptions is when I’m already winning big. Not sure why that is. Some receivers catch everything—double coverage, tight man coverage, it doesn’t matter. It honestly feels like Mario Kart sometimes. If you’re losing, especially at home, your team starts making insane catches in double or triple coverage, breaking tackles for huge gains. Even with 25 seconds left and three timeouts, players can drive down the field and score way too easily. It happens way too often to be coincidence. Defensive zones and pursuit angles are still questionable. Nothing really changed there. Man coverage is basically useless against top teams like Texas, Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU—you’ll get burned every time. It’s sad to say, but if you only play CFP mode, the game’s in a rough spot. On a Friday night, there are only about 6,000 players searching for a game in CFP, while CFB 25 has around 16,000. That tells you a lot. I think a lot of people have stepped away for now, waiting to see if things improve. It really feels like the devs dropped the ball on this one. And the scary part? They’re probably already focused on NCAA 27, which means they might not put much effort into fixing this version.150Views1like2CommentsOpponent ranking in Road to CFP?
I was so excited when I fired up CFB26 and in the first game my opponent’s record and ranking was shown before the game. Something I’d been missing so desperately! and in fact in one survey i wrote that I’d love to be able to see the opponent ranking after the game (and in the W-L history) but now rankings are completely gone i am sad please bring them back!!!!apollogrado4 months agoNew Novice69Views1like0Comments
