Online gameplay is slow & extremely broken
Online gameplay is slow and broken. Im playing on a cable connection and the game still plays slow. When I push buttons sometimes the player doesn't react. You have to hit the button multiple times and by the time the player does react it's to late. This only happens in Road to the CFP and not Ultimate Team. I'm starting to guess that you purposely make Road to the CFP online gameplay broken so that more players will move to Ultimate Team and spend more money on players. If you can't produce a quality product please allow another company to make football games besides you. People are not buying your product because it's good, it's because as of now it's all we got. Because you have no competition when it comes to football games you're allowed to put out trash games year after year and it's starting to get old, do better.CF26 in a nutshell
The skill based matchmaking within college football 26 is killing the game. Why am I in division such as all conference consistently playing guys on heisman. Very good chance I won't be buying 27. Once again, money and poor development choices ruin gaming. Skill baseed match making is the reason why I don't play cut, and spend money within that mode.Bravo EA
This latest weekly update was a major improvement from recent weekly updates. Run blocking was much better Game play was smooth Matchmaking was solid(played against multiple teams not OSU, IU or the other overused schools) Playing was actually fun again. I've been critical of this game this year , so I must give credit with credit is due. Let's see how this game plays tomorrow because there have been recent updates which I thought were pretty good only to see the game take more steps back.

Monday I WON a Road to the CFP Semi-Final game against username [REMOVED] and never received credit for my victory. Photos attached below show my final score against UVA and then my results history and Home Screen directly after the win with no sign of that game even existing. To go 12-1 and get the win that puts me in the championship game just never recorded is completely unfair Edit: Removed player ID. Good morning. While winning a sugar bowl game, my opponent purposely disconnected their internet and forfeited the game. Although I won, I did not receive the sugar bowl trophy nor is it displaying in my trophies room. Could possibly assist on how I could correct this issue? ThanksDo these people even watch football?!
Cincinnati is listed as 81 OVR 87 OFF 80 DEF when they gave up 25+ points in as many games as they scored 25+ (6-6) and have a 7-5 record heading into their Liberty bowl game. Tulane is 81 OVR 83 OFF 76 DEF despite having made it to the CFP with an 11-2 record, a conference championship and having scored 25+ in 4 more games than they gave up 25+ (9-5) Worth mentioning North Texas being 81 OVR 87 OFF 80 DEF despite losing by 13 to Tulane 💀 imagine the loser if the championship game being higher rated. Meat riders 🤡Sudden convenient lag out when vigorously beating my opponent..
To put it lightly, I was beating this guy pretty bad in Road to CFP and as I’m about to score yet another TD to end the half, I get a bad lag spike and am booted from the game do to an “EA server disconnect”. I get back to the Home Screen and look at the results just to find that I received a LOSS! My internet did not spike and it is/was working just fine. (I checked immediately after the game was over). I don’t understand how this scumbag gets a win since he’s the one who had to have lagged out. If it was an EA server issue why not give the win to whoever deserves it? I can’t make any sense of this at all. I try to get better at this game and grind it out but when a win gets stripped away from me due to an unfair disconnect that had nothing to do with my internet, it’s hard to play this game at all.EA Server Disconnects Causing Loss
The server will boot me out of a game I'm winning. I come back and there is a loss. Screwed up an undefeated season. What causes the server to boot? Why is it not considered a DeSync? It has happened multiple times. Nothing to do with my internet connection. I would like to know how to solve this problem or at least make EA aware of server issues.Road to CFP Scheduling
I love the Home/Away games set already that you set to play. But when I match up against a Rival team that always play at a neutral in real life let’s make it happen here. For instance: I play with Texas and have a home game and match up against a user Oklahoma. Make us play in Dallas for the Red River Rivalry. Or Georgia and Florida play in Jacksonville not home/away.Unexpected Error Occurred While Starting RTTCFP Games
Hi, I've been attempting to play Road to the CFP since last night, but every time I try to play a game I get 'An unexpected error occured while starting your game.' I've tried restarting my console a bunch of times, restarting my router, signing out of my XBOX account, etc. but nothing has seemed to work and it's been over 12 hours now since I first encountered this. Any idea what is going on/how to fix?Lol its insane
After the update I hopped one and of course I got matched up with a Bama user. I threw 3 passes...all of them were picked off with 2 pick 6's 🤣 I've never seen DBs break on the ball so fast. The defense lineman 23 dropped back and SNAGGED a non bullet throw for a pick. I blinked and was down 21-0. Lol funny but not funny how much EA loves Bama. I know now Ill probably not win after this update so my Natty count in 26 will probably be at 1 for the rest of the year. I thought Bama last year was hard....Last year team looked like Ball State compared to what I just witnessed 🤔 🤣🤣Playoff Issues
I've been playing football games since the Atari days (yeah, I’m that old 😄), and I have to say — College Football 26: Road to the CFP is hands down the most frustrating mode I’ve ever played. Is anyone else consistently running into these issues during the College Football Playoffs? QB Inaccuracy on Simple Throws: In playoff games, my QB suddenly can't hit basic tap throws — like short crossers I’ve nailed all season. My mechanics are solid: feet set, throwing on time, yet the ball sails 2–3 yards ahead of the receiver. I had my TE break WIDE open on a crosser, and yup EA said I missed this throw. The Turf Monster: I nearly launched my PS5. In a first-round playoff game (his Natty game), I broke a tackle and was headed toward the end zone — then out of nowhere, my player just falls forward untouched. It cost me a touchdown and completely shifted the momentum. This and the above cost me 2 TDs. I lost this game 9-7. HE DIDNT GET INTO THE ENDZONE USING LSU.....AND EA SCREWED ME. I score EITHER of those two plays, I'm onto the next round. Speedy Players Slowing Down: My guys with 95–96 speed feel like they’re running in quicksand during playoff games. It’s like their attributes don’t matter. Holding Calls on Scoring Plays: I’ve lost count of how many touchdowns have been wiped out by holding penalties. My WR gets a clean release, is wide open, I tap the throw — and before the ball even leaves the QB’s hand, I’m flagged. This happened in my most recent Natty game, and I lost by 3 points on a last-second FG. Dropped USER INT: I stopped counting how many game saving/game changing INT my user has dropped...I strafe, I tap, dropped. I strafe I tap and hold...dropped. EA — I understand the goal is to make winning a Natty feel earned, to build resilience through adversity. But when the game itself is actively working against the player, it’s not challenging — it’s discouraging. There are over 300K user accounts across Upperclassmen, Sophomore, and Freshman tiers. I’d bet most won’t return to Road to the CFP because it feels like you can’t win by just playing fair and straight-up. I’m doing everything right, and it’s not my opponent beating me — it’s the game’s programming. I’ve lost a Natty and another title shot not because of poor play, but because of over-engineered mechanics. We don’t need all this nonsense in the CFP. Let the players decide the outcome — not scripted setbacks. This is exactly why I won’t spend a dime in CUT. What’s the point of grinding if the game won’t let you reach your goals legitimately?
