Hello, I am getting the "You don't have access" error when trying to download Dragon Age: Origins on the EA App. Live Chat support informed me that they don't have the tools to resolve this issue and directed me to post here, so a Community Manager can look into it. I tried multiple solutions, like clearing the cache, installing a free game, then trying again, and many more, but nothing worked. Picture attached: I have attached proof of purchase (Order #1000790118680 from Oct 9, 2014) I played this game without issue as recently as December 2025. Screenshot of the error . Could a Community Manager please help me re-verify the entitlement on my account? Thank you!Solvedmusty_gusti6 days agoSeasoned Newcomer82Views1like2CommentsFull Xbox Controller Support to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II on PC
To all the fans out there, I am writing as a longtime fan of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. I am asking for your help to convince BioWare and Electronic Arts to bring full Xbox-style controller support to the PC versions of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. I love both of these games, but there is one major thing that has kept me from enjoying the PC versions as much as I enjoy the Xbox versions: the controller experience. I strongly prefer playing these games with an Xbox controller. The Xbox versions were designed around controller gameplay, and I really enjoy the way the controls, menus, and overall interface work with a controller. Unfortunately, simply connecting an Xbox controller to the PC versions does not provide the same experience. The PC versions still rely heavily on the mouse and keyboard interface, which means that even when using a controller, I have to use the mouse cursor to interact with various menus and interfaces. What I would really like is a true Xbox-style controller mode for the PC versions, similar to the controller experience already provided by Dragon Age: Inquisition on PC. Dragon Age: Inquisition demonstrates that a Dragon Age game can provide PC players with a proper controller-based experience. I would love to see that same philosophy applied to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II. Ideally, when an Xbox controller is connected, I would like the games to: * Use the Xbox controller as the primary input device. * Provide controls that closely match the Xbox versions. * Provide a console-style interface designed specifically for controller use. * Eliminate the need to use a mouse cursor during normal gameplay. * Allow menus to be completely navigated with the controller. * Make inventory, character screens, abilities/talents, dialogue choices, maps, and other interfaces fully controller-friendly. * Display Xbox controller buttons and prompts. * Allow the entire game to be played using the controller without constantly having to use the mouse cursor. * Ideally allow players to choose between the traditional PC interface and an Xbox-style controller interface. I am not asking to change the gameplay, story, characters, graphics, balance, or mechanics of these games. I am simply asking for the opportunity to experience these existing games on a modern PC while having the same type of full controller experience that made the Xbox versions so enjoyable. I understand that Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II are older games, and I realize that implementing a complete controller interface could require significant development work. However, these games still have an extremely dedicated fanbase, and I believe many longtime players would welcome the opportunity to play them on PC with a modern, fully supported controller experience. For me personally, this would make an enormous difference. I want to be able to sit down at my PC with an Xbox controller, start Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age II, and simply play the game naturally—without having to constantly use the mouse cursor simply because the PC interface was designed around it. The existing PC versions already provide access to the officially released expansions and downloadable content. I am not asking for additional content or changes to the games themselves. I am asking for the existing games to receive a properly integrated controller experience. If BioWare and EA could provide an update or modernized PC release for Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II featuring: Full Xbox-style controller support like Dragon Age: Inquisition + a fully controller-navigable interface + modern PC compatibility, I would be extremely grateful. These games have remained special to me for many years, and I would love the opportunity to experience them again on PC without having to give up the controller experience that made the Xbox versions so enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to read my request and thank you to everyone at BioWare who helped create these wonderful games. I am a DAO modder or I was. After my PC died, and I was forced to update to Windows 11, I lost my module source files (but managed to have backups for almost everything else). I'd like to mod again, but my big wish is that Awakening and other DLCs would be updated with the Toolset, and the Toolset to be updated better with Windows 11 (I managed to do it, but it was a huge roundabout way, and I hope I don't have to do that again). If possible a NCS -> NSS script decompiler/converter (just upset about my lost source file module scripts). I think it would be really great as a free update for nostalgia and appreciation (like anniversary/milestone thing) to the longstanding DAO fans to get a fully loaded with all Expansions/DLC updates on the Toolset as well as a Toolset update to be compatible with Windows 11. Scripts, dialogues, etc. At this late stage most people already have the DAO: Ultimate Edition anyways, and a lot of us still play. Anyways, I think most of this should be readily available in the archives on the EA end for updating toolset expansion/dlc files—just an update to Windows 11 might be some work, but for EA devs I don't think it be too difficult. I also noticed that the toolset doesn't fully work since having to be on windows 11 (connecting to server/database issues). And as a modder this is very upsetting :( Anyways that is my biggest wish from the Dragon Age franchise for years now :)HollownessDevour28 days agoSeasoned Ace178Views1like3Comments[Xbox] Dragon Age Inquisition crashing On Launch

So, my game was working fine for a long time, but then when I opened it again, it plays in a window. Like this: here+ And no matter what I do, I can't get it to go to fullscreen again. If I mouse over to the top, it gives me no option to maximize it, either: here+ I have Windows 8, if that makes any difference. I just wanted to see if anybody knew what to do to make it fullscreen again. I recently bought a copy of dao ultimate edition for the ps3. I know the servers have been down for a while, but I saw that the dlc was supposed to be on the disc, so I figured I would be ok. I’m told the dlc is supposed to pop up in an “additional content” section next to dragon age on the xmb, but nothing is appearing. Is my copy corrupted, and my only option to buy it from the psn store now?85Views1like1Comment[PC] Dragon Age II DLC Not Available to Download

Edit: November 24th, 2024: Check my solution below for additional, temporary solutions. I've tried all of the troubleshooting methods, even, unfortunately, deleting my save file everywhere, and it finally became clear that the problem is with the Dragon Age Server not being able to load, causing my game to force close at startup. I realized this once I set my Xbox One X and Xbox Series X network settings to offline. Everything loaded fine after that, but at the expense of the Dragon Age Keep and multiplayer. I'm assuming this is an issue on EA's end and wondering if this is a known issue that's being addressed. Sucks that I can't customize my world state, so any help would be appreciated. It's always the games that I like the most that end up having issues. Anyway, for those who don't care about multiplayer or carrying over a world state, guaranteed way to be able to play is just setting your Xbox network to offline.SolvedInsomnia-0o01 month agoNew Traveler5.1KViews2likes13Comments
