EA App Closing Game
I’m going to post this to as many forums as I can as I can’t get into contact with any live support person at EA. Their chat bot just runs me in circles and sends me to unrelated forums. I’ll start by saying I only play the sims and have never had this issue before. I have had my game crash but that’s always followed up by some kind of report function to report the crash. That’s not what’s happening before some EA person tries to tell me otherwise. My game has always run fine and usually if it does crash it’s from an out of date mod I have. But that’s not the case now. I have taken out every mod. My computer can run the Sims 4 no problem even with mods but without mods it always performs much better. Maybe an hour into me playing the game, the game closes. Not crashes (I feel like I have to keep stating this so people understand.) It has only started happening the last few weeks. And I’m sure it’s the app causing this. It’s fully up to date as I check for an update every time I turn my computer on. Nothing happens in game that leads me to believe it’s a crash. The app just randomly closes my game. It’s annoying. EA has gone so far downhill that they can’t even bother to pay people to help with issues like this. Instead they have an AI bot that asks what the issue is, what your email is, and what platform you’re playing on and then will send you to a random forum (it sends me to a different forum every time I’ve tried.) Then when I ask for a live agent, it just asks the same questions again even though I’ve already answered them right before. I’ve tried this logged in and logged out of my account. I’ve tried on an incognito website. The point is that EA is cheap even though they’re going to make $500 BILLION dollars. They can’t even afford live support agents. This is absurd and at this point, I want a FULL refund of my Sims game and ALL expansion packs since I can’t play it without it closing on me. I can’t even get real help from a real person. Really, what it says in the title! I know about it, we all KNOW about IT. If we wanted to sign up for it we would. I dont need a pop up all the time in the middle of my screen to keep reminding me about it. Hello. Please add a "Download All" or "Select All" button for game add-ons and DLCs in the EA App. Currently, players have to click on each expansion individually to start the download, which is extremely frustrating and time-consuming when you own dozens of DLCs (for example, in The Sims 4). This is a basic quality-of-life feature that steam and other launchers already have. Please consider adding it in the next updates. The old origin app had a setting if I wanted the app to automatically open when closing a game. I always set it to not open on its own. The new app doesnt have that setting and opens every time I close a game. I dont want the app to open when I close the game. Its super annoying to have to close the app EVERY time. It literally opens for no good reason at all. This is bad design. EA is the worst game company
EA CS is worse than other game platforms. Their advisor is very rude. These problems with me have already few times, didn't solve your problems, and left with nothing , If you try to refund, they will make so many reasons to refuse your refund . Eg, need to wait 72 hours ago / oh, your coin balance is different bababa something like this. Everyone, go play Steam. I have been using Origin , back in 2017, until EA App now and never faced any issues in inbox or quick messages Past the 3 Months I have this issue where everytime i try to send a Quick Message I get an error saying COULD NOT SEND MESASGE. Hi EA Staff and Feedback gathers, App works well does what it has to do and operates perfectly. Yet I feel a bit disappointed in whomever decided to change the icon color. Plainly this new icon does no pop, its boring, casual, no color, no essence, its getting totally outshined by my "battle.net" Icon. I bought The Sims 4 on Steam, and I still don't get why I have to open EA App to play it—or why opening the game through EA App requires Steam too. Who came up with this ridiculously dumb design? If you're going to make me link both accounts, I should be able to launch the game directly from either platform without jumping through hoops. Anyway, now it's gotten even worse. Ever since the most recent update, about 8 out of 10 times I try to log in, I get a pop-up saying "platform reasons led to login failure." To actually get into the game, I have to keep smashing the "Play" button in EA App, wait like 30 seconds, and then get hit with a "try again later" message. If I'm unlucky, I might need to do that ten or twenty times before the Sims 4 window finally shows up. I've tried logging out and back into both Steam and the EA App multiple times, but nothing helps. My internet is fine—I even bought a VPN, just to rule that out. But honestly? As for me, I can't understand why do we/I need this buggy/messy piece of app. It kills every intention to play any game from EA. At first it was Titanfall 1/2, next were Apex, BF3 and BF4. When I decided to install The Sims4 for my wife - experience was exact the same. Nothing worked, after dozens of tries nothing worked. So I decided two things: To not bye games from EA ever again. and to delete and never install this piece of shmak ever again...
